We were met at the airport arrivals after dealing with our tourist e-visa and getting our passports stamped. Have to say that the shedule was pretty hectic as we were only a few days in each City so clever packing is a must. Our guides took over everything and kept us well informed about all of our travel plans. North India was the busy part of the holiday, the golden triangle and a jeep safari in Ranthamnbore. The next part was spent in the Kerala region, Cochin, Alleppey back waters and Kovalam. The south is a much slower pace which was needed after all of the sight seeing in the busy north. We have enjoyed this holiday and have so many wonderful memories to share.

TransIndus have been over all very good to deal with, in the initial stages just needed to chase up a few flight request details. They certainly know there stuff when it comes to India, everything was extremely well planned. I am sure we will be using TransIndus again in the future.

The guides were keen to help us to interpret the great monuments we were seeing as living things and to really experience the culture. Even the driver was outstanding trying very hard to add any value he could. Of course the number and quality of the sites as well as some truly magnificent hotels helped the process immensely.

Everything was perfect. The only comment would be to suggest business class for internal flights.

Brilliant holiday to Kerala

We have had a fantastic holiday in Kerala and just wanted to thank you TransIndus. TransIndus helped with the itinerary and accommodation and all four hotels were splendid and in great locations. Each hotel was brilliant for different reasons but all had a superior standard. The trip for lunch along the backwaters to get us to Kumarakom Lake Resort was great and arriving to the Resort by boat was very special.

Thank you for your email. We have had a fantastic holiday in Kerala and just wanted to thank you all. You helped with the itinerary and accommodation and all four hotels were splendid and in great locations. Thank you. Each hotel was brilliant for different reasons but all had a superior standard. The trip for lunch along the backwaters to get us from Kumarakom Lake Resort was great and arriving to the Resort by boat was very special. There are lots of people we would like to thank, (sorry if I have misspelt some of the names!) as follows: Chrisna - our driver from Monday to Saturday and then from Kumarkon to the airport - we had some good journeys by car and all were very safe and the car was always immaculate inside and outside. There was a puncture in the wheel at one point heading to Munnar but the Driver took care of that very quickly and it was not a problem at all. Chrisna also sorted out the tickets for the boat on the Periyar Lake and made sure that we have first class seats at the front (excellent position) of the boat and that we were able to sort out the bus to and from the reserve which was also appreciated. Raj - the guide how did the tour of the tea plantation and factory. Raj sorted out a new plantation to walk through as the scheduled plantation closed suddenly and that meant that at the new plantation tour there was a tea factory to look around too. Raj’s knowledge of the tea and plantation work was very informative and interesting. Bubu ? - Spices tour of garden. This very very good and we loved looking at al the different plants and learning about their use in food and medically. Mary ? - did a history walk and talk about Cochin. Again this was very informative and we learned so much from Mary about the history and culture. Representatives - at the airport at Cochin arriving and departing. Both very good, the driver to the Cochin Hotel was very helpful and the representatives at the airport on the departure made sure that we were checked in quickly which helped. So, thank you to all, you all made our holiday special. This is the third holiday we have had through TransIndus and look forward to organising the next one!

Rating for tour operator:

I have reported to them that their service for most of the holiday was excellent but that it was not so over the last 4 days. The driver got lost on the journey from Jaipur to Udaipur via Ranakpur and the whole day could have been organised better. My request for my wife to see a doctor or visit a hospital as soon as we arrived in Delhi on the penultimate day, had been ignored and on the previous day the timing of a pre-booked boat ride was changed by the guide and the transindus rep despite us pointing out the actual arrangements in our itinerary

TransIndus - The leading Asia Specialist responded to this review on 09 Apr 2018:

Dear Mr Young,

I am so sorry to hear of your flu whilst on holiday. Flu is never good but when it impacts an expensive, 5* holiday is doubly upsetting.I trust you are fully recovered by now.

I am also sorry to hear you had difficulty with sourcing western food, which is generally available in the majority of the hotels but of course it may not have been your ideal choice particularly as you were not feeling well.

TransIndus - The leading Asia Specialist responded to this review on 09 Apr 2018:

I am sorry to hear you felt your request for a doctor in Delhi was not fulfilled and apologise for any lack of attention on the part of our team.

I have investigated the issue of the doctors and am advised that our team offered to organise doctors in Bharatpur and Udaipur but you felt you were feeling a little better and will ask for a doctor when needed.

Prior to your return to Delhi from Udaipur you spoke with our staff and asked for a hospital visit to be arranged for your wife in Delhi. The message was passed on and an appointment was booked. However when you reached Delhi and learnt that the hospital45 minutes drive away from your airport based hotel you asked for a doctor to be called to the hotel and it was arranged.

I appreciate you had to wait for the doctor to reach the hotel and apologise for wait.

wit regards
Amrit

Great taitor made two weeks trip touring Rajasthan

Just returned from a most enjoyable holiday in India Rajasthan. On arrival were met inside the airport and helped in luggage collection and taken to our car and driver who stayed with us for two weeks. Transindus representative in India met us at the airport and phoned us several times when we moved to new locations to ask us if every thing to our satisfaction. The car driver did a perfect job and the hotels we stayed in were also perfect.

The final evening, watching the sunset on the white desert, was both extra and a highlight of the whole trip. Our drivers were excellent, very polite and helpful and completely trustworthy. The accommodation chosen by TransIndus was excellent. We sampled superb food, and a very good surprise meal on the train to Agra. All in all we can't speak highly enough of our trip. Thank you.

TransIndus made excellent arrangements for us. We were impressed that whenever we decided to change our day to day movements we received a phone call from the local office to check that we were happy. Really reassuring to know that everything was so well taken care of.

Thank your or your kind feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed your tour of Gujarat and found this slightly remote region of India both interesting and stimulating. It is a favourite with anyone keen on the fashion, design, textiles and embroidery.

Rating for tour operator:

led to very late arrivals in hotels after long days travelling and sight seeing. There My sister in Law and I did the "glimpse of India tour" with a Shimla add on. It took some to-ing and fro-ing to get glitches ironed out prior to departure but the UK rep was quick to respond and tweak our tour and it was evident that on occasion the India based company had not been entirely straight with the room bookings. The company they seem to use in India is Le Passage to India and the rep was good, even though there were some visits to shops which were not always wanted and led to very late arrivals in hotels after long days sightseeing and travelling. With only 4 in our group it would have been good if we could have decided if these visits were required. The Suryaa hotel was used in Delhi and despite the apparently good reviews on Tripadvisor I found the hotel poor, tatty and WiFi incredibly expensive. I suggest they find another hotel in Delhi. The trip to Shimla was on the whole good and Clarkes Hotel is to be recommended, However, the Toy train is not worth taking unless you can guarantee a seat on the right side of the train, otherwise all you are viewing is the cliff side! The Delhi Kalka train should be booked in 1st Class not EC as the cost is very little different but the carriage much more comfortable. It was very dirty on the return.

Perfect, in every respect. A fabulous 3 weeks in Tami Nadu and Kerala, following our trip to Rajasthan and Varanasi last year. Like that trip, it not only met but exceeded all our hopes and expectations

Rating for tour operator:

Exceptionally responsive and efficient. We interviewed several agencies for our recent trips to North and South India, and chose Transindus principally because they were by far the most responsive to our particular needs and interests. Thanks to that responsiveness, the trips were superbly planned to meet and exceed our particular hopes and expectations -- we enjoyed every moment of them; and if we were doing them again, we wouldn't change a single thing. Throughout our trip, they continued to check in with us to make sure everything was OK; and when a local strike required a schedule adjustment, they achieved this very promptly and successfully.
