My holiday in Lourdes for a week was a wonderful time full of enjoyment, time of prayer in Lourdes, visiting the shrine of Lourdes, visiting the City of Lourdes, The Cachot the House where Bernadette Soubirous grew-up, meeting many people in Lourdes, meeting many pilgrims in Lourdes. As we travelled on Pilgrimage to Lourdes with Westminster Diocese, we met other pilgrims from Liverpool Diocese who were on their pilgrimage at the same time as us from Westminster Diocese. I stayed at the Accueil Marie St Fray and it was extraordinary to receive the care we received helping us to participate in all Westminster Diocese's activities in Lourdes. Thank you as well to Tangney Tours for organising our travel successfully and brilliantly and I am grateful to Tangney Tours

Tangney Tours as Tour Operator is Excellent and great. Great people working very hard for the people travelling on Pilgrimages to travel successfully and safely and to enjoy their travel and also their stays whether in the Hotels or at the Accueil Marie St Fray, organising as well transport from airport to the hotels and as well coaches for transport of pilgrims attending various pilgrimage's activities within the Shrine of Lourdes, outside the Shrine and even beyond the City of Lourdes, for example visiting the old Church of Saint Savin in the Pyrenees as Abbey of Saint Savin en Lavedan built in 12th century that was a Benedictine abbey in the commune of Saint-Savin, Hautes-Pyrenees, France. It was extraordinary to visit this historic Church and to attend mass there and to go to confession in this symbolic Church, extraordinary and very moving moment. Thanks to the Tour Operator Tangney Tours for doing a tremendous job for pilgrims in Lourdes visiting the Shrine and beyond and visiting the City of Lourdes. Tangney Tours, you are excellent and thank you very much indeed for all you do to support your pilgrims to have an enjoyable and successful pilgrimage in Lourdes.

Over all a well organised experience, although one or two hick-ups with the youth section and their travel.

Well mannered helpful staff that I met

We had a great holiday from start to finish the only problem was at Newcastle airport with local staff levels below the required numbers to disembark the people who required help and this was the only poor part of what was otherwise a fantastic holiday

A pilgrimage to Lourdes where for once I was a passenger

Excellent everything was easy I requested an upgrade on my hotel and within hours was relocated excellent your rep

Excellent from start to finish Hotel accommodation was lovely and clean, food also very good Transfer was spot on with timings Only blip was airplane was 90mins late going to Lourdes

Although we had a lovely time on the pilgrimage, the situation left a lot to be desired with regard to meal times. When you are a captive audience you hope that the food provided meets expectations. It did not. We opted to go vegetarian this year as last year the bland meat meals left a lot to be desired. Being vegetarian left even more. There was little planning with mainly just the bit of meat removed from the plate. We were not allowed access to the full breakfast buffet so there was no hot food for our party. There were nowhere near enough serving staff at mealtimes (often just one poor harassed individual) so mealtimes went on forever. In the end we ended up eating out a lot of times thus paying for our meals a second time - not good value for money. Overall the hotel is not good value for money based on how miserable mealtimes made people. There is much to be improved there.

We did not have a lot of contact with our tour operator so I cannot rate them any higher. However, their liaison with Ryanair to get our assisted pilgrims boarded at both ends of the flight was inadequate and therefore some assisted pilgrims had a traumatic time. This is not good enough.

It was a lovely pilgrimage, great hotel. decent weather. All overshadowed by having none of my belongings and indication of when or if it might arrive.

My luggage never arrived at Lourdes airport and while the staff from Tangney asssisted me to report it they didn't offer much other help.
