It was a pilgrimage to Fatima, Nazare and Santiago with my parish and not a holiday. We, as a parish, have been going on pilgrimages for at least a decade now and there are regular pilgrims. There are a few pilgrims from other parishes too. It is always a pleasure to be on these trips as we look out for each other irrespective of where we are from particularly the vulnerable.

I have been with this tour operator few times before but this time their organisational standards were very poor. Communication prior to departure, however, was good in providing our itinerary for the trip from checking in to return. There were 40 of us in total. We were informed our guide would travel with us on the flight to and back. Some of us were not met on arrival at the airport and didn't know where to get our couch so we lost time and didn't attend the first event on our pilgrimage. Communicating information on the various events was poor. I must say the hotels and their staff arranged by the tour operator were excellent, however, we were not informed by the tour operator or guide that we would be dining outside on one occasion.

Lourdes with Tangney was fantastic - I'd been before with Tangney many years ago and it was fantastic to do so again, its genuinely a very special place, whether you're a committed Catholic or not (my wife was quite sceptical of the place but came back having had an incredible time). Only issue was the food at the hotel, bizarre for France!

Everyone I talked to at Tangney, whether before the trip started on the phone, and definitely everyone who handled everything in person, was friendly and professional, so couldn't ask for better really

Well organised and cared for. Great hotel although twin room was small (614) and very limited sockets - not near a mirror which was frustrating. Warning - Bath lethal!! Nice balcony. The Padoue staff great. The bar and lounge was sumptuous. Location to The Sanctuary was perfect. Dinner times felt a bit squashed together. Laying a few more places for dinner would ease things and not make us feel so squashed. Waiting staff were great. Food quantity and quality was excellent. Overall 9/10. Very pleased and will return. Tangney system is amazing. Good staff.
