Really great holiday with a good mix of accommodation including some basic camping and amazing wildlife including two species of Gibbons and some Iconic birds including Great Ibis, bengal Florican And a visit to the vulture restaurant. Highlights included watching the river dolphins and seeing a mother and calf slicing through the water close to the boat. Also a male and juvenile gibbon playing together in a tree. The guides were excellent and really made the trip with their expert knowledge and skills at finding wildlife and explaining the ecology. We also fitted in time to experience the culture and visit markets, temples and try some brilliant local food.

Cultural and wildlife tour of Northern and Central India

This was our second trip to India. We put together an outline of some areas we wanted to visit and the things we wanted to achieve as part of an extended holiday of up to a month. We asked three companies to put together a plan and chose Naturetrek as the best itinerary and value. As the package was individually tailotred we booked our flights independently but all other travel and accommodation was organised by Naturetrek. The holiday met and often exceeeded our expectations with excellent guides, naturalists, drivers and accommodation throughout. We went off itinerary on a few occasions as events happened - such as watching a group of Sikhs in field practising their martial arts(with swords and no protection), being invited to join a Holi party, being invited into a Hindu wedding and reception, having meal at home with one of our guides and a cooking lesson from the wife of another guide. So many special events in a wonderful holiday. Sadly we only saw parts of a tiger (twice) but we did have the pleasure of watching an adult male leopard cross the road in front of us.

Magnificent Murmurations but So Much More

Effortlessly well organised but at the same time fun, relaxed and unhurried with many opportunities for fascinating chats with our inspiring tour leaders. The trip was highly professional and informative.

Tiger Direct with Naturetrek

I did the pretour into Tadoba National Park and am very glad that I did as we saw tigers on each trip into the park. It was an amazing experience and beyond my expectations! Even the trips into the park where we did not see tigers, we saw an animal or bird that we had not seen before. The guides and drivers were very knowledgeable and made the tour special in every way.

We did the trip with Naturetrek and I found them very organized, friendly and helpful. The guides were excellent and asked us regularly if we were comfortable and if the food and rooms were satisfactory. The lodges were great and well located next to the park so we were at the park gate within minutes. The tour size was kept small so we got to know each other and that made for a better experience. Thank you to Naturetrek for a wonderful experience. The memories will last a lifetime!

Magical time in the snowy Russian forest

A small group of us spent 5 days exploring a Russian Forest Reserve searching for signs of the Siberian tiger . Nearly 6000 miles from the UK we could have been on a different planet it was so different

Really great trip!

This was a well-planned and well-run trip. It covered a wide range of habitats and enabled us to see all the hoped-for species, as well as a couple of unexpected wanderers as a bonus. The leaders were excellent and the accommodation first-class. A good group of fellow-travellers also helped to make it a memorable trip. Definitely recommended!

This was our third Naturetrek holiday and we have found them very helpful. They are always happy to give advice on any aspect of the trip in advance and help us to find suitable trips to fit our needs. All the trips are well-run.

Wonderful birding in Jamaica

A week spent at the Greencastle Estate a delightful base in a forested area near the coast. There are many trails through the estate which provide escellent bird watching opportunities. A short walk to the coast enables a chance to snorkle at a reef. The accommodation is very comfortable and the meals are wholesome and varied.

A wonderful insight to the nature of Gran Canaria

The holiday was well packed with wonderful sightings of rare birds, hundreds of wildflowers, insects and amphibians but also looking at the underlying geology that formed this amazing island. Two very knowledgeable and caring leaders made it an unforgettable experience. A very comfortable hotel allowed for a relaxing evening ready for the next day's wonders.

An outstanding experience!

A Tour of Navarra in Winter, especially to see and spot the Wild Cats which are in the local area. In spite of the heavy snowfall it was a most enjoyable Trip, with excellent accomodation and superb food, all combined with the very enthusiastic Naturetrek guides Javi and Pablo. They went out of their ways to give us a great time in this corner of Spain.

Loved Cuba with Naturetrek. Excellent birding.

We stayed in four different places and saw most if not all the Cuba endemics (plus others - my personal trip list is about 140 species). A great guide with incredibly good eyes certainly helps! Plus his local knowledge and language skills.

This is the eighth or ninth Naturetrek tour that I have done and have never been let down. Hopefully that describes my confidence in them and their tours and the organisation behind it all. They are always willing to talk and help.
