Holiday of a lifetime
Tanzania highlights with 12 days of safaris, excellent guides, great accommodation and food. The group of like minded people all gelled very well and we experienced the most amazing wildlife sightings. The great migration was mind blowing but we saw 39 different mammals including serval and caracal, leopards and cheetahs and lots of lions up close. My absolute favourites were the giraffes.

Birding holiday of a Lifetime
Mind blowing 2 weeks in Costa Rica with Naturetrek and their guide Tony. Moving on every 2/3 days between the lowlands, mountains, Pacific coast and Caribbean slope. Fabulous to see so much wildlife in their natural habitats. We saw birds of our dreams! Toucans, tanagers, motmots, honeycreepers, trogans, hummingbirds, hawks & owls. We were surprised at how many types of flycatchers there were! Scissor-tailed being a favourite. Never thought ...

In total 320 species of bird seen and many mammals too, 2 & 3 toed sloth being highlights.

We were so lucky to have got a medical cancellation for our first holiday with Naturtrek 5 weeks before we flew! Can't fault their excellent service given with emailed links to reviews and info about Cost Rica. Their brochure is more like a bible of hundreds of different worldwide holidays, there's something there for for every nature enthusiast! Even for people not wanting to leave the UK there is plenty of choice for staying on home turf.

Excellent wildlife experience in Costa Rica
From the moment we landed at San Jose to the moment we departed there was a mass of wildlife on view. 2 weeks of going to sleep to the sound of frogs and insects and waking to bird call was truely magnificent. Costa Rica delivered on all front - wildlife, scenery, people, hotels, food …….

A great combination of birding and visits to Egypt's historical sites
Trip of a lifetime. We got to see many of Egypts historical sites while the birding took us into places that the average tourist will never see. From Cairo in the north to Abu Simbel in the south travelling by bus, train, plane, on foot and on a dahabiya down the Nile. From intense details about hieroglyphics and the tombs in Valley of the Kings to splendid relaxation in luxury on the Nile boat the holiday never failed to deliver

Our tour took us to several different places and accommodation all slightly different and always offering a new experience. Our guide Jaun was local and was extremely knowledgable of the wonderful bird life. It was a small group who got on really well and Jaun made us all feel special and we could faullt how well he looked after each one of us. It was an experience we will not forget and we hope to visit new parts of Colombia again in the future.

Style in Suffolk
Excellent base in the form of a third-generation family-run hotel close to the beach and a variety of nature reserves. First-rate bird guide.

We have been with Naturetrek on many occasions - for one-day outings, short breaks, local and overseas trips. Their office staff are, without fail, pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient and always try to accommodate individual requests. Their website, brochures and other paperwork are comprehensive and their guides are excellent. Furthermore, their trips are good value for money in a competitive market.

A wonderful experience from start to finish!
I joined the tour primarily because of the outstanding birding opportunities it provided, but it offered so much more than that. It opened a window onto a wonderful part of the world, showcasing so many aspects of the country and culture, from saffron production to traditional Berber carpet-making. Our tour leader was of course a highly knowledgeable birder, but was also able to share insights into geography and geology, hydrology and botany, and so much more. His passion for the region shone through, to the extent of being highly contagious! A word too for our driver who ensured the logistics worked seamlessly.

Efficient, courteous, highly professional before, during and after the trip - everything you could wish for in a tour operator.

12 days of sights across 3 countries in southern Africa. Comfortable travelling, accommodation and great food. The main focus was birds, over 320 species, but also the manuals, reptiles and other living things! Great boat trips and game drives. Very knowledgeable guides with a great sense of humour!
