I was fascinated to see the north of China having read all about the silk roads and very interested to see the Uighurs who live on the borders of the Gobi and Taklamakan Deserts and to learn about their plight. We had the perfect guide who was an Australian but who lives and works in Beijing and speaks the language fluently. His knowledge seemed boundless and his explanations about the culture were riveting.

Martin Randall Travel is an exceptional tour operation and I would now never travel with anyone else not only because they are so good but also because they ensure my needs are met . Their tour guides are always extremely well informed and their lectures and discussions add a dimension to the tour which makes each tour a wonderful and worthwhile experience.

I live in Australia, the Martin Randall office in Brisbane was my contact and the women who work for MR could not have been more helpful. Everything ran smoothly, any questions answered and the final pack was couriered to me in London.

My tour operator was Martin Randall, a UK company. I live in Johannesburg. They were helpful in dealing with my queries and helping find a hotel in Amsterdam which i visited before joining the tour in the Corte D'Azur. An upmarket company which offers specialised tours in art, music, food and history with a tour operator and specialised in the field on whcih the trip is focused. The tour price included most evening meals, enrance to the musuems etc Ond did not have to buget for much extra spending. My only disappointment was the hotel in which the group stayed in. It was rated four star but was not good

An excellent tour lasting 13 days and substantially covering the major areas of historical interest in Sicily. The tour was led by Prof Roger Wilson who was an outstanding leader, lecturer and guide - always interesting and entertaining. The tour manager was also excellent - Vanessa Hall-Smith -giving us all a very good experience

Martin Randall Travel really do provide outstanding experiences on a consistent basis. This is my third major tour in recent years - the others being to Egypt and St Petersburg. The Firm uses carefully selected Tour leaders - generally academics with proven. knowledge, experience and delivery skills and tour managers are excellent making local contacts that enrich the tours.

An excellent tour of Palladian villas led by an exceptional lecturer who made the whole six days very informative and entertaining. Would definitely recommend this tour and operator to anyone interested in architecture.

Excellent Wonderful opportunity to hear Verdi operas in theatres in knew and conducted in. Parma was beautiful and we had a very well organised tour of local sites and an excursion to Cremona (wonderful!) and spent some time with a violin maker
