Very efficient organisation - a quality break - expensive.

We had a series of wonderful experiences ranging from a paella demonstration and meal to a wine tasting and lunch at the home of a noted winemaker to several Michelin one star meals to an over the top 3-star lunch to an almost everyday tapas lunch at a local bar. Everything was well organized, the travel was smooth (no long bus journeys), accommodations were very good, and our lecturer and tour manager were both fabulous. We look forward to future tours with Martin Randall!

Well organized and efficient. We had a detailed itinerary which gave us all the info we needed about departure times, hotels, meals, museum visits and the chefs and their restaurants. Liked the fact that the group was small and there were no lanyards, name tags, or tour leader flags to follow! Low key in that regard.

Upgraded airline cost well worth the money. Western food, as planned throughout, was superior. Japanese food presented beautifully. Tour Director and Lecturer really knew their stuff. David Lovejoy handled the itinerary and needed modifications beautifully. Lovely countryside seen between points of interest in cities from Tokyo, Kyoto, Naoshima, and overnight at Osaka, whether on a coach or on the bullet train. Excellent itinerary, thrilled that Naoshima was included.

Superior operator who handled planned and unplanned parts of the trip beautifully; he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, commiserative, and somehow, stayed patient and positive. He was a real treat. Cannot say enough good things about him and the way he works.

Excellent in all respects.sights , care and arrangements. Wonderful selection of modern buildings both public and private homes. Just the right time of year ie the Fall. .Very personal care Excellent meals and hotels.

Good mix of walking and visiting gardens in Madeira giving an excellent sense of the island, its flora and its environment.

Very well organised that time passed at a pace which suited our level of activity and interest. The success for us was based on the organisation/responsiveness of the tour's leader and manager.

Our first trip to Japan was a real adventure and rich experience. An interesting mix of the old and new across Tokyo, Kanazawa, Matsue and Kyoto.

The name of the tour was Essential China. We visited all the usual sites--the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, the Great Wall, the terra cotta warriors, West Lake in Hangzhou, the Bund in Shanghai... Our lecturer was the former curator of the Far Eastern collections at the V & A Museum. She was excellent, as was the tour manager. We had fabulous meals, both Chinese and Western style. It was an interesting and eye-opening experience of modern China.

I have travelled with Martin Randall a number of times and always been happy with the service both before and during the tour. The attention to detail is remarkable, and any problems are dealt with efficiently. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who wants a cultural holiday in the company of like-minded people.
