Walking Tour of Sutherland

It was a 7 day six night small group walking tour. Our guide was superb and the areas we walked/hiked were beautiful. Our accommodations were of high quality as was the food. There was tremendous attention to detail. I needed dietary accommodations and there were no issues with my getting what I needed.

There was tremendous attention to detail. They provided us with a list of suggested equipment/clothing prior to the trip to insure that we knew what we would need to be comfortable. My birthday occurred during the trip. They clearly noted that from my passport information and our guide wished me a happy birthday and gave me a little gift and card at dinner that night. My dessert had Happy Birthday written on the plate in chocolate. It was unexpected and enhanced my birthday.

Rating for tour operator:

He was very conscious of safety, weather, daily logistics, but casual about where we stopped, hiking order, dinner times, etc. This is the way I like to operate, so I appreciated his style.

Beautiful walking tour of Outer Hebrides.

Beautiful scenic walks experiencing the sights and sounds of the Outer Hebrides. Just wonderful. Walking along white, sandy beaches and through green lush country side. Comfortable hotels with ocean views, delicious food. Fun ferry rides too!

A WALK IN SCOTLAND

This year we would have liked to walk the West Highland Way. It is just long, without any technical difficulty. The way is marked, not always, but you cannot get lost, should you try to. Better splitting the longest distances in two parts. You do not need any special gear, it is just a walk. The scenery is fantastic and somehow magical, all the accommodations are chosen with great care. The only problem was the weather. Wind and rain made impossible ...

Better splitting the longest distances in two parts. You do not need any special gear, it is just a walk. Wind and rain made impossible walking on the exposed tracts, compelling us to retreat. I sure will be back with the same operator next year, but in a different month

Rating for tour operator:

Wilderness Scotland offers a wide range of choices for travelling in Scotland. This is the second time I book with them a holiday and I surely will be back in Scotland with them again. This year July was very rainy and windy, and we could not complete the trail. The accommodations chosen by Wilderness this year, as the last, let us very satisfied, always clean, friendly and welcoming. You cannot find a better tour operator for walking in Scotland, which I know for sure, but, probably, even in England and Ireland

Scottish mountain bike trip

Mountain bike trip across Scotland, coast to coast. It was a great way to experience the beauty and natural landscape of the highlands. The scenery, biking and hospitality were of the highest quality. The trip was well managed and designed by Wilderness Scotland.

A very enjoyable walking holiday.

The weather in Scotland is notoriously unreliable and, true to form, the first couple of days the mist was so thick that we could not see the mountains at all. Apart from that, our guide was great, my walking companions interesting and fun, and the walking itself enjoyable.
