My first visit to Egypt was way beyong expectations

I had my first Egypt experience with Wild Frontiers over New Year's eve and it was way beyond my expectations. I was blown away by the carvings on the temples which were so beautiful and intricate. I had my first Egypt experience with Wild Frontiers over New Year's eve and it was way beyond my expectations. I was blown away by the carvings on the temples which were so beautiful and intricate. The people we met at the villages were incredibly friendly, inviting us into their homes for tea and food. I felt very sad that their country is getting such negative news and has resulted in a huge drop in tourism, which was great for us but not for the locals. The temples we visited were mostly empty. The only time I saw quite a lot of tourists was when I did an extension after our tour and visited Giza pyramid. We had a most relaxing time cruising down the Nile for 5 days on a beautiful Dehabiya with the most wonderful crew. The food was great on board and the scenery on the Nile was magical. We passed grazing live stock and fishermen on small boats casting their nets and excited village children waving at us. On New Year's eve, the crew surprised us by inviting some of the local villagers onto the Dehabiya to play music for us and we all joined in to dance. Our local guide was very friendly and informative. I felt safe throughout my visit to Egypt and I would highly recommend this trip.

Wild Frontiers trips are always fun and full of culture. We don't just visit a place but really get to meet and know the people who live there.

The Central Mexico recce riding trip I did with Wild Frontiers was undoubtedly one of the most amazing, challenging and rewarding experience I have ever had. The horses were strong and definitely the sturdiest I have yet to come across and at times, they were tested to the fullest when riding through very steep topography. The places we rode through were stunning and very diversified ranging from beautiful UNESCO World heritage towns to grand canyons and along railway lines and tunnels. The food was fantastic and being a foodie, that is always something that I worry about but on this trip, our lovely cook was resourceful and extremely hard working, up before dawn and working throughout the day. Our horse guide, Rodrigo, had planned a wonderful adventurous ride for us and included activities such as abseiling down a canyon, air gun shooting at targets to surprising us with the most amazing subterranean Mayan hot baths. His daughter, Monique, was really helpful and it was great fun to have had her with us. I would love to do it all again. Thank you Wild Frontiers for organising such a wonderful trip.

Rating for tour operator:

Wild Frontiers looked after us incredibly well. Their trips are always so well thought out.

Trip of Multiple Lifetimes

We just returned from India and the Real Exotic Marigold Hotel Tour. Great trip. I went back and forth between "This is so real," and "This must be a movie set." It was like being in a meteor shower. We just returned from India and the Real Exotic Marigold Hotel Tour. Great trip. I went back and forth between "This is so real," and "This must be a movie set." It was like being in a meteor shower. Every few seconds something new was flying at you. It's an assault on the senses and will turn your worldview upside down and inside out — not a bad thing The Indians are welcoming, kind and those in service positions, expert at providing the best service you'll ever have. Bhopal Singh, our guide, was wonderful. We should all speak five languages. We traveled on a coach, ingenious, because driving in India is only for the skilled and the brave. The food — served family style — was tasty. Suggestions: Lose Pushkar or make it a half-day stop. If Pushkar is kept in the itinerary, alert people to the scam artists by the lake who will give you a "blessing." I could have done with less shopping. If I see one more Pashmina I might scream. More sitting and people watching would have been nice. Tell people they can bargain, even within the company supported shops. India may not be for everybody but for those interested or sturdy enough to take it on, it's the ultimate trip

Rating for tour operator:

Bhopal Singh. He was as good as it gets. Plus, he is a saint to have to deal with 12 personalities.

Iran experience

Wild Frontiers provided me with an outstanding travel experience in Iran. With an excellent trip leader, tour guide, and driver, we explored every major ruling civilization in Iran (ancient Persia) of the past 2500 years. From my perspective, getting a chance to meet and mingle with the local people was a definite highlight of the trip.

It was a fascinating trip. Really good guide who educated us with great enthusiasm, and bought the hyroglythics to life. Lovely hotels and the dahabiya was wonderful.

Full-on and very relaxing at the same time.

What a fantastic trip. It couldn't have been better organised, paced and sourced. I feel like I have been away for a month. The whole family managed to relax totally whilst somehow never stopping. Our tour leader Jude is great and really made us all feel like part of the family. I can see why she has such a soft spot for Bijaipur; the castle is magnificent with a perfect blend of old-world luxury and a bit of gentle (and genteel) Indian chaos...

Our tour leader Jude is great and really made us all feel like part of the family. I can see why she has such a soft spot for Bijaipur; the castle is magnificent with a perfect blend of old-world luxury and a bit of gentle (and genteel) Indian chaos. The countryside is beautiful. The staff are sweet and Rao Sahib and his family were very gracious. Even the Mewari horses were well-behaved and showed me respect. All-in-all, it was a great steer and we are all delighted that we went. The highlight, of course, was the Bijaipur Boat Race on New Year's Day (you will have to go to find out what I mean), which I videoed for posterity and sent to Wold Frontiers. Thanks again. It was an unforgettable trip and certainly not the last with WF. Jim, Janet, Charlotte and Phoebe Floyer.

Rating for tour operator:

Starting from a very well-presented web site through to great advice on the phone and an excellent pre-trip preparation, the organization is second-to-none. Value for money is very good too.

Amazing, well-organised (and safe) week on the Nile Luxor to Aswan

Wild Frontiers selected an incredible itinerary, with a knowledgeable, kind & inspiring guide who was clearly passionate about his cultural heritage. We also were able to immerse ourselves in the local Egyptian culture and the crew of the boat were exceptional in their kindness and attentiveness. On every level this was a wonderful trip.
