India in slow motion.

It was what it said on the tin. Quiet locations, few other tourist. Unusual and amazing places to stay. Interesting things to see. Forts, palaces , temples, craft workshops, ( not to Many and no hard push to sell ) villages, farms. If we saw interesting things on route, guide and driver happy to stop. Lovely food.

India: Inside Kerala & Karnataka by TonyR, 22 Feb 2016

An interesting and varied tour that allowed us to experience the local culture without being on the regular and overused tourist trail

We travelled with Wild Frontiers on a small group tour to Kerala and Karnataka in Southern India, before spending a further week on a Wild Frontiers-organised private tour in Tamil Nadu. The Wild Frontiers itinerary was interesting and varied and allowed us to interact directly with the locals and experience their culture close up. The accommodation was always good, but varied in style and location. We were led by an outstanding UK-based Tour Leader who was in turn supported by some excellent local guides who were always very willing to share their knowledge with us. Often as not we were the only tourists at many of the sites we visited.

Rating for tour operator:

This was our third trip with Wild Frontiers and we were again very impressed by their organisation and dedication to ethical and responsible travel. They do their research thoroughly and manage to come up with unique and memorable experiences. If you are looking for holidays that provide real in-country experiences rather than the standard, predictable and cosseted fare provide by many of the bigger travel companies then you really should consider Wild Frontiers. We will certainly be travelling with them again in the near future.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel Telegraph Tour.

We had a great time in India on this tour. There were only 14 people in our group and we all got on really well. The tour started in Delhi for 2 days, then Agra to see the Taj Mahal Palace which was a WOW. Then we stayed at Castle Kanota which is The Viceroy Club in the film, a really lovely place. from there it was on to Jaipur where some of the scenes from the film are shot. Then on to Udaipur to see the Lake Palace hotel in the middle of Lake Pichola which u have to take a boat ride too also amazing. Our last 2 days were spent in Mumbai an extra treat and we stayed in The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel which was a WOW.

Wow amazing trekking and landscapes

Spending 16 days trekking walking hiking sight seeing in Ecuador. completing the Ice Man trek was exhilarating. The landscape mountains and volcanoes leave you breathless (and not because of the altitude!) The wildlife in the Galapogas was amazing. The tour ran smoothly and was great value. Great accommodation and excellent food. Great place to visit for vegetarians as i am one.

Fascinating tour of Cambodia

2 week trip around Cambodia including some more out of the way places in addition to the more obvious big hitters and local cultural experiences alongside historical sites. A great mixture of these providing an in depth view of the country.

Wild Frontiers offer small group tours with a difference - smaller groups, including meals, good quality small hotels where possible and a local and western guide. From my experience and reading they tend to switch things up from the typical experiences/itineraries.

Good

With a few exceptions, really good indeed excellent. But, as with anything, some things that might be improved. Do you not as a matter of course follow up with your clients to ask detailed questions about their experience? Might be a good idea so you can improve for the next client. Pretty basic stuff but not done. Other leading agents do it so suggest you do. The fact you dp not reduces my likelihood of ever using you again notwithstanding ...

Wild Frontiers responded to this review on 16 Feb 2016:

Dear Mr Hearn,

I am delighted that you had a successful holiday with Wild Frontiers to South East Asia, and thank you for submitting your feedback on AITO.

All clients are called by their travel consultant when return from holiday, so we can ask for trip feedback and use this information to improve our tours for future clients. Unfortunately your Consultant Lukey was away when you returned and then was off sick for a few days, so on this occasion we were late contacting you. Lukey has now contacted you, and a holiday satisfaction questionnaire will be emailed to you. We are sorry that this was not done sooner upon your return.

I do hope you choose to travel with Wild Frontiers again soon.

Best regards,
