Jordan remains a wonderful destination for culture, history and nature

Wild Frontier's Lost City of Arabia tour was a great experience. It was a well-balanced mix of the expected historical sites (Jerash, Madaba, Petra) but also some fantastic walking/hiking adventures in places that we didn't realize existed in Jordan. Petra was breathtaking, and even more so when one sees it from a mountain top above. Walking through Dana Nature Reserve was awsome. Rating for tour operator:

The Wild Frontiers tour was expertly arranged with a well designed itinerary that mixed starred hotels with home-stays, historical and cultural landmarks with rugged nature adventures. WF's commitment to responsible tourism was clear throughout the tour (and very welcome). We felt more like visitors with whom the locals were sharing their culture, history, and countryside rather than mere tourists.

Cultural tour of Jordan

The tour of Jordan included traveling to the main sights--Jerash, Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea--as well as some less busy places like nature and ecological centres. Accommodation included a home stay and a a stationary bedouin camp as well as hotels. We did a lot of walking--14 km one of the days--and climbing to see fabulous views and ruins. Our main guide was fantastic and the several local guides we met were wonderful.

This was my first holiday with Wild Frontiers and my husband and I are hoping to book another one with the company. They were thorough in sending information before the trip, making it quite clear what to do beforehand and what to pack. They were quick to answer the few questions we had. The tour itself was well organised so we felt "taken care of" throughout. We have been recommending the company to our friends since we got back.

A once in a lifetime experience never to be equalled.

Wild Frontiers listened to our wishes and desires and then produced an itinerary to die for. It exceeded expectations in many ways. When we got to India, the drivers and guides were wonderful. We visited some awesome places but the highlight was the taj Mahal at dawn, a sight never to be matched or forgotten.

Simply a fantastic trip in terms of entertainment, value for money and effort put in by the Wild Frontiers team.

Our Holiday in India consisted of a weekend party for a friends 50th . 63 of us were hosted at Castle Bijaipur in Rahjastan and nothing was too much trouble for the staff of either the hotel or Wild Frontiers. 17 of us then completed a 100km ride around the area staying in a different place each night. We all felt confident and exhilarated. we were well fead and watered every night and the value was amazing,

A party at Castle Bijaipur followed by riding tour through the Rajastan countryside during harvest time

Everyone we met made such an effort to make sure we had the time of our lives and that we saw as much as possible of India. I have so many memories. The attention to detail was second to none and all the staff bent over backwards to fill our days full of new surprises and experiences. Their pride, affection and enthusiasm for their country was very infectious. The Marwari horses were absolutely beautiful and incredibly tough and sure-footed...

Varied and wonderful tour of Guatemala

This small group tour of Guatemala had it all.....the charming city of Antigua, Lake Atitlan, the small Mayan villages in the Ixil triangle, colorful markets, fascinating churches, the aqua pools of Semuc Champey, 4 archaeological sites including Tikal and the Rio Dulce area. While this is not a luxury tour, the accommodations were varied and fun. From a simple hotel to a hacienda to a jungle lodge to a resort-like hotel, we experienced it all...

While this is not a luxury tour, the accommodations were varied and fun. From a simple hotel to a hacienda to a jungle lodge to a resort-like hotel, we experienced it all. Wild Frontiers limits tours to 12 people which I love! Our guide, Gary Ortiz, is one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever had. His passion for Mayan history and for Guatemala is phenomenol. There is a lot of walking on this tour so a certain level of fitness is needed. Also to be considered is the heat/humidity of the last part of trip. I recommend this tour for anyone interested in a grand experience of Guatemala.

Rating for tour operator:

Wild Frontiers specializes in small group tours (no more than 12) to off-the-beaten path places. There are various types of trips including cultural, walking, horseback, etc. Wild Frontiers is not a luxury tour operator but accommodations range from more than adequate to pleasantly unique to four-star. They pride themselves on their social consciousness and ethical practices. I have been on 6 trips with them and have been very impressed by the quality of the guides, the great itineraries and the unique experiences.

Excellent

I really enjoyed my holiday, The Road to Mandalay. It turned out to be far better than expected. The tour manager was very good and there was a very rich series of experiences in different areas of Myanmar chosen to be included in the tour.

Bangladesh with Wild Frontiers, a revelation

Bangladesh is an underestimated place in travel destinations. Wild Frontiers has a very interesting itinerary which includes Sunderbans, tea resorts and especially into the Chittagong Hill tracts. I have travelled with this company on quite a few of their small group tours and can only say that they have enriched my life greatly .

Wild Frontiers has everything I am looking for, They listen. They always answer the phone and reply promptly to emails. The website works etc etc Best of all, they are very professional but it also feels like I've asked a family member to organise a holiday for me. That doesn't happen very often. They've cracked it.
