Remote horse trekking though the majestic mountains of Montenegro.

I just spent a week in Montenegro discovering the mountains and countryside on horseback. The scenery is amazing, the local people very welcoming and the food and wine great (and provided in seemingly limitless quantities!). The horses are surefooted and well fed. Stay at remote farms and get a real feel for the country.

Wild Frontiers is very well organised and provided spot-on information about the trip beforehand. The tour leader dealt with every circumstance professionally and with good humour - very important! They have also taken care in selecting their local guides to respect their ethical philosophy.

Venezuela viewed as it should be

I have always wanted to see the tepuyes and Angel Falls. This tour not only encompassed those but also many other areas such as Marakaibo lake and Los Llanos which were also quite incredible. Tour leader was very good as were the local guides. Though tiring at times, it was well worth it!

I am an existing client of Wild Frontiers and I find them to be professional, courteous and very helpful. I also like their approach to their tours and ethos during the trips, which means we get to see and meet local people.

Foreign Devils On The Silk Road

Starting in Xi'an, we journeyed East to West along the Northern route of the Silk Road. Travelling by road and rail, we visited Tibetan monasteries, Buddhist caves and mosques as well as archaeological sites, cultural events and museums. Our route took us through mountain passes and across both the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts. The end of our journey was in Kashgar, rapidly being developed as the Dubai of Western China. Uzbekistan: Samarkand & Aral Sea by Simonjkh, 1 Jun 2016

Highlights of amazing and fascinating Uzbekistan in 11 days!

Another winning trip from Wild Frontiers, Uzbekistan is a country that stuns with beautiful sights, friendly people and is cleaner and more modern than we may imagine in the West. The trip I took visited the best Uzbekistan has to offer. Samarkand is every bit as good as has been written about it, as is Bukhara. The Aral Sea was fascinating and haunting and an unexpected highlight was the Savitsky Art Museum in Nukus. What a find! Add a ...

Add a nights camping by the Aral Sea and a Yurt stay plus great, atmospheric hotels and you get an idea of the great trip I had.

Wild Frontiers offer small group holidays to many interesting places and continue to provide excellent, professional and friendly service. Clearly a lot of thought and planning is put into all their holidays, and local tour support and tour leaders are very well chosen and add to experiences. If you are looking for an adventure holiday I absolutely recommend them. They have easily become my holiday company of choice.

Friendliest country yet

We took the ten day Wild Frontiers trip from Shiraz to Tehran. The length of the trip suited us well, although we did add an extra in Tehran, which was well worthwhile as there is much to see there. Our guides (tour leader and local) were great - helpful and conscientious. We were fortunate enough to have great travelling companions. The people we met everywhere we went were so friendly. We loved it!

15 day trip staying in a variety of towns. Eating at local restaurants. Tour guide the best I have ever encountered. Delightful experience from beginning to end. We met so many local people . We visited the major towns of interest such as Yadst Shiraz etc. The buildings and squares were breathtaking.

we have never used Wild Frontiers before but their formula of small groups, out of the way restaurants really gave us the feeling of being a part of the country rather than tourists. The tour guide was excelent

A unique and fascinating trip with beautiful scenery and interesting things to to and see

My husband and I were thrilled to have the opportunity to travel in Algeria for ten days with Wild Frontiers. The tour leader, Spike, was excellent and he set the tone for what was to be an excellent trip. The group only had nine members (plus leader and local guide) so it was very easy to get around and be flexible. The scenery in Algeria, both in the Sahara oasis towns and in the coastal cities and roman ruin sites, was fantastic. This is definitely not a place that gets much tourism, so there is not a vast tourism infrastructure, but this is what makes it so charming in so many ways. We also enjoyed the foods and beer and wine, which kind of surprised us. We really loved it!

Rating for tour operator:

This was our first trip with Wild Frontiers, and it won't be the last. It was professionally run, the trip leader (Spike Reid) was fantastic, and the trip itself had lots of variety and interest. Well done!

10 day cultural tour of Iran

A great trip, taking in the main sights of Iran spread across Shiraz, Yazd and Isfahan, with plenty of other things to see on the way. Plenty of opportunity for interesting experiences, and interacting with normal Iranians made the trip worthwhile.
