An interesting experience

The best part was driving up and down in the dunes and the night in the tent at the 1000 nights camp with a full moom. In a clear sky.

Iran should be on every travellers top 10 list of destinations!

No-one should have any concerns about visiting Iran: it is one of the friendliest countries I have ever visited. Superb mosques, palaces and gardens; extremely friendly people; no 'hassle' (even in the bazaars), delicious food, balmy weather (In late March) and very very few tourists (at the moment). I came home much more knowledgeable not just about Persian history but also about contemporary Iranian culture.

I really like the friendly personal service provided by Undiscovered Destinations who are always at the end of a phone to give help and advice if needed. So much getter than other tour operators who have grown too large to offer this kind of service.

Thank you for the feedback and we have to agree with you - the perception of the Iran from the outside does not match the welcome and experience when you are travelling there.

when someone says Why Bangladesh ? the answer has to be "You have not done Asia unless you have been to Bangladesh"

From World heritage sites through natural mangrove swamps, The charming people we met throughout our journey only served to enhance the experience. The unforgettable Train rides across the fertile plains watching the everyday life of the industrious locals. Warm and Friendly is a phrase you could use but they are much more than that, they are not jaded yet by coach parties of cameras so they retain their enthusiasm for their guests. The food was excellent with its links to Indian and Myanmar/Thai whilst retaining its own identity, we even ate at a street Fish stall we felt so comfortable. Chittagong and the area and Cox's Bazaar beyond the Beach were just delightful, Fish and food markets, Ice Factories, Local ship repair yard, Fish drying, River trips,Mosques, Temples I could go on for quite a while. "If you have not been to Bangladesh then you haven't been to all of Asia, get there before everyone else does"

Undiscovered Destinations were the main Organizers with Ecotours providing the local guides. Very well constructed tour crisscrossing the country taking in all the sights. Planes, boats, Trains, coaches, Buses, Cars, Tuk Tuk's, Rickshaw's we used them all. A very good tour of a very interesting country.very happy with what we did what we saw and what we ate. Guides were very accommodating and responsive to most requests. Nice mix of historical sites and local enterprises, we even visited schools and local factories which i am sure are not on "normal" tours. The people are delightful and very curious and were always happy to see us.

OMAN

I EXPECTED THIS HOLIDAY TO BE AWAY FROM OTHER MASS TOURISTS. IT TURNED OUT JUST TO BE A TRAIL AROUND TOURIST SIGHTS. GIVEN THE NATURE OF THE TITLE UNDISCOVERED DESTINATIONS I THOUGHT WE WOULD SEE SIGHTS NOT SEEN BY OTHER TOURISTS AND A DESERT CMP OF OUR OWN NOT WITH HUNDREDS OF OTHER TOURISTS A VERY DISAPPOINTING HOLIDAY. THIS IS MY PERSONAL VIEW. I CANNOT FAULT THE ORGANIZATION ON THE TRIP. THE TRANSPORT HOTEL AND MEALS WERE ALL VERY GOOD

Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your views on Oman and the tour. Oman continues to be one of our most popular destinations and the vast majority of feedback we receive has been positive. However, we do accept that it is one of our less adventurous destinations and may not appeal to the particularly well-travelled. It is a very different destination and tour compared to others that we offer in places such as Bangladesh, Sudan and the Congo. It is good to know that you found the organisation, transport, hotel and meals all very good.

We are currently preparing the next edition of our brochure and detailed tour dossier. Changes will be made in respect of the tour grades and descriptions and we are confident this will help manage travellers’ expectations of this destination.

A qonderfultrip to a beautiful country Oman

This was an eight day private tour of Oman, taking in green turtle watching, walking in the stunning mountains of Jabal Al Akhtar, visiting the desert of the Wahiba Sands and several forts.

A Wonderful Ethiopian Experience

This 2-week holiday was not on my "bucket list". Friends on a previous holiday at the end of last year said that it was one of the most fantastic holidays that they'd ever been on. The time to go was during the Timkat Festival so I booked it straight away on my return as it was getting close to Epiphany. I hadn't realised the country was so mountainous and green. There is a contrast between city living and the countryside which is still as it was centuries ago. The people are very friendly and helpful and there is so much colour in the markets. The standard of the hotels was much better than I'd expected and I enjoyed experiencing a variety of Ethiopian cuisine. The local wine was very good as well. I enjoyed the beautiful countryside and the guides were keen to point out the animals, birds and flora and fauna. I was very impressed with the churches, particularly Lalibela and will have many fond memories of my stay.

Undiscovered Destinations is a small company specialising in out of the ordinary holidays for small groups. It makes a great effort to understand the traveller and ensure that each experience is memorable. The itineraries are well thought out and the organisation is efficient and comprehensive. I will certainly consider travelling on holidays with them in the future.

Fascinating country, wonderful people

The Burmese people were wonderful; polite, happy, elegant and colourful. We felt we had a glimpse of a country as it really is - not manufactured experiences for tourists. Lots of amazing Buddha stupas, statues and temples - each one bigger and more gold than the last!

Very efficient and helpful booking service in the UK. A pleasant and helpful guide in Burma, and everything went very smoothly. Her English could have been better, but despite that, she made the holiday a wonderul experience.
