Military Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Spectacular venue, and spectacular travel organisation

No fuss, very easy, most informative.

I went as a volunteer to Lourdes for the annual Order of Malta pilgrimage. It was a week of work, helping 56 disabled and sick pilgrims to get the most out of their time at Lourdes - a very special place for Catholics and other Christians.

The test of a good tour operator is how they manage in an emergency; and my goodness! Did we have an emergency! The plane that was due to come and collect us all and take us back to Stansted was damaged before it came to Lourdes so the return journey was delayed by 7 hours. We were given regular updates, we were told not to come to the airport until later in the day, the company liaised well with the Order of Malta team, and senior staff members were on hand to answer our questions and help with the inconvenience.

Excellent travel arrangements, smooth transfer, Gloria is very nice hotel (even though we had a slightly peculiar room 71). After a long gap from visiting Lourdes this was our first trip with the Birmingham pilgrimage and it was wonderful!

very professional firm. Members of the firm available at all points during our trip to ensure all went smoothly. Many thanks to Nicholas for information, help and lots of friendly smiles at the airports. A really hands on approach to their customers that resulted in a great, hassle-free trip. Definitely one to be repeated next year.

The airplane had a good amount of leg room and 1st class service with complimentary drinks. and sandwiches. Excellent hotel great food . This alongside the pilgrimage itself made for an unforgetable holiday which was excellent value for money

The tour operator was good and in some ways not notable as it all seemed to go well and without too much of them obviously being involved. A well oiled machine.

We went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes, excellent flight, transit, very poor hotel (Hotel St Geirge) But great visit to Lourdes and superb location location.

Extremely helpful and provided all information and advice to a high level.

We have used Tangney Tours many times in the past usually through Frances your representative. The trip is not the same without Frances mind you.

We were cared for by a wonderful team. From day one carers and students and youth groups. Nothing was to much for them. Thank you.

All travel arrangements went well, only a slight delay on return. All events arranged for the week went as planned.

I specified on my booking form that I would be a helper on the pilgrimage but Tangney did not pass this information on to our local organisers. Also on the application form they ask for bank details including the secure number on the back, I consider that is not very secure if sending through the post, as information could be compromised.
