The Westminster Diocese 8th Annual Pilgrimage to The Holy Land, a coach of people from different parishes in the UK came together and shared a full itinerary, with a very experienced and informative guide.

Nothing was too much trouble for them, they were there showing and assisting us all the way.

The venue and the people were fantastic. The only drawback, and this ended up being a big problem, was that my wife has allergies and despite us having diligently filled in the forms from the tour operator, these were clearly not catered for. This meant that many meals for her were something like carrots and potatoes, with no protein, no starter, no pudding etc. Makes a mockery of going to the trouble of filling in the forms, because the venues knew nothing about it when we inquired whilst there. One hotel, the Manger Square Hotel, at least made an effort and since we were there a few days, were able to sort something, but this only covered a few of the meals since we often ate elsewhere, organised as part of the tour, who were not aware and did not cater. The problems created for my wife put a bit of a damper on the whole experience.

The local operator was very good, but not sure if all the required information had been passed through to them.

Visit to Holy Land was breath taking and educational

We visited many different sites in the Holy Land, including Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and the Sea of Galilee. Everything went like clockwork and was so well organised.

Efficient, knowledgeable, first-class.

6 day tour, commencing in Tiberias and finishing in Bethlehem, including Lake Tiberias, Capernaum, Nazareth, Cana, Mount Tabor, Dead Sea, and Jerusalem. Two nights spent in Tiberias and three nights in Bethlehem. The tour guide met us at the Tel Aviv airport and accompanied throughout our stay. Coach was comfortable, air-conditioned and had wi-fi. The driver was excellent! Guide was knowledgeable and made sure our needs were catered for. However, at times, we felt rushed and the group had trouble in keeping up the fast pace of walking and using facilities and conveniences (age of group varied from 30s to 80s!).

We were kept informed and up-to-date about our trip, important details and information regarding medical issues, money, climate and the tour itinerary.

I have always gone with the HCPT, so this was real treat.

As a vegetarian, I was very pleased with the entire tour.

Apart from a delay in receiving the name tag with a incorrect spelling , a simple error , we were looked after very well , the optional excursion from Lourdes to Gavarni by coach was really enjoyable

As the above statement, any queries were dealt with efficiently by a telephone call in advance , after booking was made.

The holiday was full on but thoroughly enjoyable. An experience not to be missed.

The tour was good and the guide knew his historical history. The guide however was not good at insuring that all the people on the tour were there and relied on other members of the group for this. Not very good for someone who is supposed to be leading.

Pilgrimage to Lourdes with a very diverse group and yet we all connected and gained from the experiences we shared.

Most things ran smoothly. It is always difficult to accommodate for such a wide range of need but the tour operator did their best.

56 pilgrims from all over the UK assembled at Stansted for the chance of a lifetime pilgrimage to Lourdes organised by Tangney Tours. It was an enjoyable yet all too brief week commemorating the 160th anniversary of the Marian apparitions which much appreciated by all pilgrims Deaf and Hearing alike; we even met the deaf great(x5) nephew of St. Bernadette. Simply put - a great week all round indeed!

Tangney Tours were superb - Noreen in the UK dealt with the bookings and Lisa in Lourdes courteously and willingly helped with fine-tuning our plans and providing last minute alternatives; and Linda in Lourdes was an excellent compassionate, understanding personal guide for our group. In fact the whole Tangney Tours team in Lourdes were A1 super including George who flew out and back with us helping with airport check-in (and out) etc. Simply fantastic, can't rate them highly enough!
