Trip to Lourdes with Birmingham Diocese Very lucky as really good weather, which makes moving around, sotting out in cafes, socialising, experiencing outdoor services and the grotto at the centre of the pilgrimage, a more pleasant experience. Music equipment can be kept dry, and singing in the rain becomes a distant memory. Long queues at baggage handling and security on the way out. Hold up in plane due to lack of staff to load luggage on plane. But bery smooth and wuick coming home.

Always teady to help. All information clear and timely The Vegetarian food was really poor (apart from the salad, quiche and pizza) other than that lots of mushy beg. to replace meat! A puece of melon with a salad on one occasion! We requested rooms near each other and none of our group of 5 were near each other - we booked together to be near each other and requested one other, but we were all split on different floors.

After two years plus of staying at home isolating and only watching Mass on TV it was so uplifting mentally. It was very enjoyable to be able to attend Mass with the fantastic choir and music as well as the other services like Stations of the Cross. It was also enjoyable meeting friends from previous years in Lourdes

It wasn't a holiday; it was a pilgrimage. For that reason each day had a timetable which I was invited to take part in. The liturgical celebrations were wonderful.

Tangney Tours organised the Birmingham Diocesan Pilgrimage, which was the first one since lockdown. All the arrangements made at the airports and the hotel were excellent.

Apart from a delay at Birmingham airport our pilgrimage to Lourdes went extremely well

It was a Pilgrimage to Lourdes with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Birmingham.

Efficient and Friendly.

For the first time since 2019 we were able to return to Lourdes as a pilgrimage. Our week was full of joy, laughter and prayer. We enjoyed two outings during the week. The first to St. Savin - a beautiful former abbey, some 30 minutes from Lourdes. The second was to the City of the Poor where we had mass in the cathedral of the trees followed by a super picnic. We had wonderful weather during the week (you can’t always rely on sunshine in Lourdes!). Our travel arrangements were handled faultlessly thanks to Tangney Tours whose representatives were always available for us.

We rely heavily on Tangney Tours not just for our air travel and hotel bookings but also for internal coach travel during the week in Lourdes. Everything was arranged with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of flexibility. Pre-pilgrimage planning was made easier by Tangney Tours being patient and helpful particularly as we had difficulty establishing our exact numbers even up to a week before departure.

Again a lovely experience

After 5 years with Tangney's, they haven't let me down. Well done
