The Gambia Experience go out of their way to look after customers from the time of booking until arriving home after the holiday.

The Gambia is not like it used to be. It's gone down hill.
The entrance and exit fee of £20 should be included in the holiday package. The African Village Hotel needs updating and down graded to a hostel. More suitable for back packers or students looking for cheap accommodation. Rubbish and litter is not what I want to see and it's everywhere. Traffic is horrendous. There are more packs of stray dogs around than there used to be. They used to call the Gambia the Smiling Coast and it's still a very ...

First time using this Tour Operator as was recommended to me by my neighbours who fly there every year on a flight only basis as they have a home there. I would use this Tour Operator again. It's a shame that they do not connecting flights as not everyone lives in the Gatwick area.

Good Winter Break
2 weeks in the Gambian sun. Stayed at the Palm Beach Hotel which really does need updating and maintenance carried out. Excellent beach front setting. The Gambia is a great place to visit for some Winter sun - second time here - will probs stay at Kombo beach next time - excellent breakfasts and food there.

Very well organised island hopping with enough freedom to enjoy it
Island hopping in Cabo Verde. 5 Islands, 8 flights, 2 ferry trips and 7 hotels in 2 weeks. Very well organised and good information given. Great variety of hotels and very knwledgeable guides. The locations appear to have been selected with care

Serenity Holidays/ Cape Verde Experience. Very knowledgeable representatives and the whole company was friendly and accessible.

Poor start but improved.
On arrival we found that the swimming pool was drained for at least another 6 days so transfered to the hotel next door.

Perfect holiday at a luxury hotel in Brufut, The Gambia
14 nights spent at Leo's Resort Hotel in Brufut, The Gambia. The hotel is a private adult only six bedroom hotel owned by a wonderful Austrian couple. The owners and all their staff are warm, friendly and engaging. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and over look glorious views of the grounds and the sea. The owners and all their staff are warm, friendly and engaging. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and over look glorious views of the grounds and the sea. The air condition is superior in quality and I enjoyed a blissful night's sleep every night. The balcony lends itself to romantic sun sets. The bar area is pleasant and the restaurant at Leo's is highly regarded as one of the best in The Gambia. The extensive grounds have been given a lot of thought in how it has been decorated with various ornaments and craft pieces. There are a number of beautiful private seating areas which again lends itself for romantic evenings. Whilst in The Gambia I got married and a cast amount of our wedding photos were taken on the grounds of the hotel where the scenery made the photos look magical. The grounds lead to a private gated path which in turn leads to the beautiful picturesque Brufut beach. The Enter Air flight out was the worst airline I've ever experienced. The flights were moved forward by an hour where I was only notified days prior to my flight. The check in procedure with Enter Air was languorous and verging on incompetent. Had it not been for the Gambia Experience rep being present and demanded that they brought an additional staff member down to open a third lane to check passengers in the process would have taken a lot longer. There were only two toilets on the plane and the ques for the toilet were always long. There was a point when a tannoy announcement was made and all the cockpit used the toilet and passengers had to wait. The leg room was very restrictive and the general comfort of the flight was very poor. The flight staff were very obtuse and unfriendly. My ticket stated I would be served an in flight meal which I did not receive. I ended up paying £9 for a bottle of water and a heated cheese and tomato baguette that was as big as my finger. The baggage handling at Banjul is awful. My brand new suitcase was covered in a clay like substance and the wheels were badly damaged. The return flight was with Titan Airways, back to Gatwick which was a much more pleasant experience. This flight was delayed by over two and a half hours. Titan flight crew were very friendly, helpful and professional. They provided a more than satisfactory in flight meal. The staff had to deal with a number of challenging behaviours from passengers and issues but remained professional throughout. Upon landing at Gatwick the landing dock would not connect so I had to wait an hour and half for a bus to drive me to immigration. Owing to the delays I ended up missing the last train out of Gatwick by seven minutes and had to wait an additional two and half hours for the first train out.

Gambia Experience identified issues that were encountered by passengers and sought to address them. The only issues I experienced were on the inbound and outbound flights. Once through customs you are greeted by a warm smiling face and a cold bottle of water and then drive to your hotel. Whilst in The Gambia the holiday went perfectly well and never had any course to contact Gambia Experience.
