Safari Consultants review

At times my requests seemed a little challenging, but on every occasion they were responded to in a very professional manner. The communication right up to departure was excellent. My final itinerary was spot on.

fortnight divided between Kenya and the Seychelles. Apart from our first three days at Kicheche Laikipia, we were with our family so ages ranged from 13 to 78. Family went for their second visit to Sosian for the week and we joined them there. Excellent wildlife viewing and wonderful birding plus lots of extra activities. It was also our second visit to La Reserve on Praslin and that was as delightful as we remembered.

Our 7th holiday organised by Safari Consultants. As always , ,they delivered everything we required in terms of itinerary, accommodation and transfers and once again we benefited from their detailed first-hand knowledge of every property we used. Their meticulous attention to extra detail to make life easier for someone of 76 with mobility problems from ordering a wheelchair at airports to requesting a room nearest the main living area was much appreciated. Even extra pillows were organised for cushioning an ankylosed spine on bumpy safari tracks or rough Kenyan roads. Safari Consultants' service is not just excellent, it is outstanding and has been so without exception ever since we first travelled with them in 2008. We would never consider using any other company to organise a holiday for us in southern or eastern Africa.

Incredible holiday experience in South Africa

Safari Consultants put together a wonderful itinerary for my family with six nights on safari and five nights in the Western Cape. N'Kaya was the smaller lodge run by a husband and wife team - Nicky and Werner. It was almost like staying as friends in their home! Makanyi is slightly larger and very luxurious ...

Safari Consultants put together a wonderful itinerary for my family with six nights on safari and five nights in the Western Cape. The safari was split between two lodges on the edge of the Kruger National Park - N'Kaya Lodge in Thornybush and Makanyi in Timbavati. N'Kaya was the smaller lodge run by a husband and wife team - Nicky and Werner. It was almost like staying as friends in their home! Makanyi is slightly larger and very luxurious - completed just one year ago and beautifully appointed. Game viewing in both locations was excellent. In Cape Town we stayed at the Vineyard Hotel which is a large hotel but we were in a 'cottage' in their beautiful garden which was very spacious and comfortable. We were three nights there and then moved to Grotto Beach near Hermanus where we stayed at the Mosselberg guesthouse. Mosselberg is a stunning 5 star guesthouse in a wonderful location - certainly one of the very best places we have ever stayed but unfortunately the weather conditions were not suitable for viewing wales and sharks. None the less, Hermanus is a pleasant town and the journey there is stunning so it is worth the trouble. All in all, an amazing holiday very professionally arranged by Safari Consultants.

Rating for tour operator:

Safari Consultants were, from the start, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional. Their recommendations for accommodation and schedule were excellent and the arrangements were faultless. I would recommend them without hesitation for anyone contemplating a safari based holiday.

Worked like clockwork. Amazing, scintillating, once in a lifetime

A wonderful 4-centre holiday in Tanzania including Ngoro Ngoro, Ruaha, Selous and Zanzibar, organised by Safari Consultants. Rivers and wildlife

we spent 11 nights in Africa in four different camps. In the time we were there we managed to do everything we wanted to do and more and saw loads of animals. The service and food we received from all of the camps was just out of this world.

They are a small tour operator but they listen to what you would like to do and manage to design a holiday to your needs and the holiday you go on is just out of this world.

fantastic from booking to landing back in London

We booked a 10 night holiday through Safari Consultants to Zimbabwe and South Africa. We started at Imbabala Zambezi safari lodge just outside Victoria falls which was stunning and then on to Bayete Guest lodge in Vic Falls itself and saw the stunning falls. From there we travelled to nThambo safari lodge in the Kruger National park for 4 days of stunning game viewing.

Safari consultants were great from start to finish. They came up with ideas, gave us plenty of info and were always on hand to answer queries. The booking was hassle free and the trip it self went perfectly from start to finish. Will use again when i next go to Africa.

Superb holiday in Namibia

We had a great 16 nights holiday self driving around Namibia. This was our 2nd visit and this time we concentrated on the areas of Damaraland, Etosha and Waterberg. Our favorite places to stay were Huab Lodge, Etendeka Mountain Camp, Hobatere Lodge and Waterberg Wilderness Lodge. We saw some amazing wildlife and birds, with fantastic scenery Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

This is the third time we have traveled with Safari Consultants and we have found them to be an excellent and friendly company They arranged our air travel, car hire and all accommodation. Everything worked to perfection and was so well organised. They recommended the places we stayed and they were all extremely good. Safari Consultants have always responded very quickly by phone or e-mail when booking our holidays and with any subsequent queries prior to going away. We can not fault this company at all.
