Our recent journey through Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar was nothing short of transformative. It was the kind of trip that touches your heart, awakens your senses, and leaves you changed in the best possible way. We began in Uganda, where we trekked into the misty rainforest of Bwindi to come face to face with mountain gorillas—a breathtaking and humbling experience that’s impossible to describe. The views from our veranda looked out over the dense jungle canopy, and nearby visits to the Batwa community and local school added rich cultural depth. The people we met in Bwindi were warm, generous, and welcoming—it truly felt like stepping into a community that embraces visitors with open arms. From there, we explored the sweeping savannahs of the Masai Mara, where each day on safari brought moments of awe. We witnessed incredible wildlife—lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs—and soaked in the quiet magic of sunrise game drives and golden evenings in the bush. The accommodations were beautiful, and the guides were deeply knowledgeable and respectful of the land and animals. To end our journey, we relaxed on the beaches of Zanzibar, where turquoise waters, soft sands, and peaceful days offered the perfect place to reflect and unwind. The contrast from the wild to the coast was seamless, and every part of the journey felt intentional and nourishing. This wasn’t just a vacation—it was an experience full of adventure, connection, and meaning. From the natural beauty to the heartfelt human moments, it’s a trip we will carry with us forever.

Working with Kelly was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. She took the time to truly listen to what we wanted—our pace, our interests, our preferred level of comfort—and she absolutely nailed it. The transfer to the Safarilink plane was quick and efficient, great staff who communicated clearly with next steps- and even checked our luggage for us. The great experience continued all the way through to our Safari and thanks to Kelly listening to our needs and what we were looking for, Offbeat Mara was the perfect fit for our honeymoon and it felt so magical (go over to their Google reviews to see my review for offbeat specifically!).

Kelly made our first Safari trip a breeze- she did all the organising and went above and beyond to cater to our needs and budget. She set out all options for us really clearly, and was happy when we spoke about booking some elements eg flights by ourselves- I really appreciated the opportunity to be honest without it feeling awkward. Having coming back from Safari I can truly appreciate everything Kelly organised for us- after arriving on a long overnight plane, we were fast tracked through Nairobi airport, having help with all the systems and baggage. All the documents and guides Kelly and the team provided in advance made it really easy to know what to pack, what the rules were (eg for tipping or what we need to do for a visa) and it was so easily accessible on their website ctm system or via email. Echoing all other 5* reviews on here. We were totally blown away with our honeymoon trip to South Africa, organised by Frances at Safari Consultants. Frances was incredible efficient, helpful and trustworthy in putting together our itinerary. At each point throughout our trip, we were met by someone to help us to our next destination. The hotels they found were absolutely incredible. The biggest THANK YOU to Frances and Safari Consultants, we hope to come back to you one day to re-create the trip of a lifetime.

Safari in Kenya,

Frances at Safari Consultants organised, booked and managed the holiday brilliantly. Everything from transfers to flights and camps was perfect. Fri=om the moment we arrived in Kenya to the moment we left, everything was done and worked seamlessly.

Extremely well planned by Safari Consultants who recommended excellent places to stay and arranged all the complicated travel arrangements seamlessly. All the places we stayed at (Primate Lodge and Bwindi Lodge in Uganda and Kicheche Mara North in Kenya) were amazing and the staff incredibly welcoming who also did all that they could to make our stay truly magical. Nothing really was left to chance and we felt in very safe hands throughout our stay. Also all the amazing wildlife and scenery we saw on the trip certainly did not disappoint with being a few metres from Silverbacks and a pride of Lions particular highlights.

Extremely knowlegdeable of the various areas and options available and very accommodating of our requirements. All the complicated transfers between camps and lodges were handled seamlessly and everyone was well briefed on for example dietary requirements and whatw e were looking to get out of the trip. All the partners they chose for us looked after us extremely well.

We spent an amazing two weeks on safari in Kenya, staying at four different conservancies. The accommodation was outstanding, as was the food, the service and, most importantly, the guides, who ensured we saw as many animals and sights as we could have hoped for; their enthusiasm and willingness to share their knowledge greatly enhanced our experience.

From our initial contact with Safari Consultants right through to after we arrived home, Mary's care and attention to detail was outstanding. Mary took care fully to understand our wishes and expectations for the trip, and expertly tailored an itinerary to meet our needs. Nothing was too much trouble and Mary was always on hand to answer our questions and gently guide us through the process of preparing for our adventure. Her itinerary for us left nothing to chance. We had total confidence that all our transfers, drop-offs and pick-ups would go smoothly and they did. Mary's welcome home message and her genuine interest in hearing about our experiences further demonstrated her commitment to us as clients. It is true to say that our wonderful safari exceeded all our wildest dreams, thanks in no small way to her care and expertise.

We had our first holiday to South Africa, starting in Cape Town and heading east visiting some fabulous locations, taking in Hermanus, Knysna, Plettenberg, Oudtshoorn, Franschhoek plus the Pumba Game Reserve. Really enjoyed South Africa and our first safari, would definitely recommend.

2werk safari in Zimbabwe - Hwange, Lake Kariba and Mana Pools - offered a very varied experience with walking, boating and jeep safari. 3 great camps, very, very hot temperatures, great hospitality. We were also lucky to have exceptional, well known and respected guides in all 3 camps and even got involved with the anti poaching organisation at Lake Kariba which was very interesting.

Mary Grimwood had been arranging safaris for us for the past18 years and has never failed to give us a great experience. Mary knows what we like, what we have experienced in the past and then tailor makes a safari to our wishes. Nothing is too much trouble, the holiday information is very comprehensive and we feel in very safe hands when booking a holiday with them. I would highly recommend them.

Fully organised from start to finish by experienced and skilled people and delivered on the ground by knowledgeable and caring operators Safari Consultants have delivered an outstanding safari experience - for us the second time with them. We were fully briefed, supported throughout our stay and saw so much wildlife in its natural habitat. Just excellent.

Safari Consultants do exactly what their name suggests. They are the go to people for tailoring a safari to one’s needs fully supporting and delivering the trip that was planned - faultless.

It was a spectacular self drive trip for two of us. We drove clockwise from Windhoek to the main areas of interest in Namibia excluding the deep south. Everyday was different. The landscapes were overwhelming magnificent, beautiful, stark, harsh and unforgiving and gorgeous… the country itself felt as old as the planet. The lodges and guest houses were all of the highest standard. Guides were without exception knowledgeable, personable and professional. Wildlife viewings very special - especially desert elephants, rhino and leopard. Service levels were uniformly high throughout.

Brilliant specialists. They really know Namibia….in detail. They were very personal in their approach, I really felt like they knew me and they ensured we got the trip we wanted and at a price point we were happy with. Communication was excellent throughout. They listened, then suggested and then put together a really perfectly structured trip for us. Great variety, brilliant tour recommendations, great choice of different styles of accommodation. Documentation was brilliant with clear instructions, detailed info on Namibia the country and practicalities - we were even provided with a map with all our routes colour coded! Always available on the phone quick responses to queries . Covered off every eventuality. This meant no hiccups on the trip at all. Since returning they have been genuinely interested in hearing from us about our trip. We’re so pleased we chose them they are brilliant.
