Our excellent archaeology, history and local culture guides, Peter and Cem, were extremely knowledgable, well prepared, energetic, entertaining, understanding and flexible. They, as well as the cruise crew of four, took care of our every need in a very professional manner to ensure we had a safe and enjoyable time.

Peter Sommer Travels is a very experienced company and it shows as everything involved with the delivery of this tour was well planned and organized.

As an Individual traveler I Boarded a Gullet In marmaras and met the remainder of the group. We sailed around the Carian ismus to Bodrum. Each day accompanied by a very knowledgble guide an Archeologist who had excavated some of the sites we walked to visit Greeko/Roman sites and some villages abandoned by their inhabitants circa 1920. The captain and crew of the Gullet was excellent and very entertaining. The food on the Gullet was excellent and a perfect introduction to Turkish food. Highly recommended .

Total comfort on 12 guest Gulet in South West Turkey. A really well planned holiday, with a mix of walking parts of the Lycian Way with time to enjoy swimming in turquoise sea, sunbathe and be indulged with delicious food. Our leader, an historian and archaeologist made the history of the places we visited come alive. The captain and crew looked after our every need and the minivan lifts and pickups went like clockwork. It was a lot of fun.

Everything worked seamlessly, the itinerary was well thought through and the guides were experts in their fields and excellent communicators.

It was a gulet tour of the Dalmatian Coast and Islands with a historian and local guide. Although this was Peter Sommer's inaugural tour of this area it was well planned and our every need taken care of. There was a perfect mix of cultural visits and information with time for relaxation, walking and swimming. The historian and guides catered for all levels of previous knowledge and we learnt so much in an entertaining way. In addition the crew were very attentive and a mine of local information.

Very experienced in historical tours and I'm sure this holiday's success depended on that experience. Plenty of useful information ahead of time and a straightforward booking process.

I found the whole trip to be most enjoyable. The fellow guests were delightful, the crew was great, the food very good and most of all the two guides were knowledgeable in every thing we saw. The most important thing was we got to learn a thing or two but also relax and have fun...

They gave us all the information we needed before we got on the boat and took care of every thing we needed while we were on the trip... What more could a person ask for...

Every aspect of this tour was the best that could be expected. The boat that was chartered, the crew of the boat, the guides and the islands that we visited. WE could not ask for more.

Hiked to ancient Lycian ruins using the gulet as a home base. The gulet was luxurious. The food delicious.

My husband and I, along with four other couples, cruised the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia for eight days on a lovely gulet. Our cruise was arranged by Peter Sommer Tours. It was a marvelous holiday; gorgeous surroundings, good food, great wines and lots of fascinating history. Our ship's crew could not have been better. They were always looking out for our enjoyment and well being. We still marvel at the wonderful meals that came our of the small galley. Our tour guides were knowledgable, well organized and efficient. They were able to maximize our land tour experiences while also allowing for personal time and interests. We would travel with Peter Sommer Tours again.

Our tour operator was great from beginning to end. Prior to our trip, they provided us with all the necessary information needed and answered our questions. The tour operator was in contact with our group daily during the trip to make sure that all was well. After we arrived home, we were contacted by them to inquire about our experience.

Good food, excellent guides, fascinating history, gorgeous coastline,. Weather could have been a lot better but that was nobody's fault.
