The Exploring Crete tour was absolutely fantastic. Our guides, Paul and Maria, made every place we visited so interesting and enjoyable.. From ancient ruins to a quiet village to fantastic restaurants serving local cuisine to great accomodations - our trip was perfectly planned. Even our bus driver was amazing. If you’re looking for a tour that’s educational, fun, and full of unforgettable experiences, this is the one!

We've been on several Peter Sommer tours and they have all been wonderful.

A great holiday full of fascinating stories and history about the island provided by two excellent and knowledgeable guides. It was well organized and well executed with the guides able and willing to smooth out any glitches or take advantage of any unexpected opportunities that arose. And just when we had had enough of history or sightseeing, great food and drink would appear!

Sommers travel was well organized, reasonably priced and easy to communicate with.

Peter Sommer’s delivered the Croatia Gastronomic Gulet Cruise as advertised! Everything was perfect. I was so impressed with the schedule and organization of the tour. The boat was wonderful, the crew exceptional, the food amazing and our guide Mislav was truly a wonder!

Mislav was an amazing tour guide! He went above and beyond to share his knowledge and love of Croatia. He was a walking encyclopedia and engaged and entertained us with Croatia’s history! He was fun and involved and communicated well with crew, hosts and guests. We thoroughly enjoyed him!

We had a fabulous multigenerational family trip exploring the coast from Gocek to Bodrum. The tour was very well organised and extremely flexible to accommodate us all. Gulet, crew and catering was exceptional. Our guides were knowledgable, friendly, fun and looked after us really well. The itinerary suited our age and interest variations.

Peter Sommer Travels were very helpful prior to booking our tour. The recommended certain gulets and tours they thought would be suitable. Their travel logistics planning and communication were excellent. The guides they employed were fabulous and we wpuld recommend them to anyone.

The tour size was just right, the hotel was outstanding and the local and Peter Sommer guides were not only knowledgeable but were also both approachable and able to impart their knowledge in a way which made it easy to follow. The holiday included not only the obvious sites in Rome but visits outside, and also to less well known but still stunning sites in the city. We also appreciated the many pre-arranged lunches and dinners at quality local restaurants. Overall this was a holiday we shall remember for quite some time.

We like Peter Sommer travels for the care they take in putting their trips together. This was our second holiday with them and it surely won't be the last.

A week to remember for a long time exploring Ancient Rome, from the Colosseum to the catacombs, the Baths of Caracalla to Ostia Antica. Delightful hotel, great tour guides, lovely fellow travellers and excellent food.

We covered the whole of Crete with 2 excellent knowledgeable guides. Archeology was the main focus, but every day we were out to lunch and dinner with a great variety of dishes.. I have sailed in the Greek islands for many years but the Cretan food was a revelation.

The tour is an excellent survey of Crete's Minoan era, landscape, primary cities, historical sites, and Cretan food. Very highly recommended.

My Exploring Crete tour of October 2024 was excellent...in fact, the tour was my seventh with PST. The tour guides, Maria and Paul, were totally dedicated to ensuring each traveller was accommodated and satisfied. The tour itinerary provided a much desired familiarity of the Minoan era with stops and engaging discussion on the importance and uniqueness of each site visited.
