Travelling on a lovely wooden boat, the Aegean Clipper, we visited about 10 Greek islands, from Kos to Santorini. Our knowledgeable guides took us to museums, archaeological sites, volcanoes - everything there was to see. Meals on board were fresh & varied, and meals ashore were amazing - all kinds of local island specialities to taste & surprise.

The tour of Crete was fabulous! The tour and country exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were great......from a modern hotel with all the amenities to small villages with very comfortable, interesting apartments. The food was incredible.......the local produce, cheeses and meats and seafood were well prepared and copious. Our fellow tour-mates were great travel companions: we represented the USA, UK and Canada. Crete was wonderful with widely differing terrain and fascinating archeology.

Our tour guides were outstanding. Maria and Heinrich were well-matched and complimented one another well. I really enjoyed the mythology presented by Maria. The tour was well planned with every detail addressed.

Exploring Sicily with Peter Sommers was an enjoyable romp around the island revealing the landscape, its peoples and its truly remarkable history. Our wonderful tour guides with their great knowledge of the area, its politics, history and archeology, their organizational skills and their sense of humour enabled all of us to understand and appreciate the wonder of Sicily. The remarkable hotels that we stayed at from agro tourism locations on olive farms and vineyards to beautifully renovated hotels in Palermo and Ortigia made the holiday very special and as usual with all Peter Sommers tours, we tasted the best of wines and foods that Sicily had to offer. The chocolate liqueur at Modica was a stand out memory.

this is the third tour by Peter Sommers that I have taken and all have been immensely enjoyable, educational, well prepared and organized with knowledgeable tour guides who go the extra mile to make sure that you have everything you need. I would have no hesitation in taking another tour with them and look forward to doing so next year.

Our trip was amazing, far exceeded our wildest expectations! The crew & tour guides were so professional, accommodating and attended our every need & questions, many times before we asked!! We toured historical ruins & places that we would not seen on our own! Did I mention the food?? The meals were of the highest quality & appealed to everyone! We loved the late afternoon treat! This was a graduation gift for my three Grandchildren & the crew & guides made it so special for them! The boat was immaculate & our cabins were cleaned daily! This was the trip of a lifetime & would definitely recommend to anyone!! Thank you again to the crew, Nota & Heinrich for their kindness to us!

7 day gullet cruise, archeology focus, but mostly fun, sun, swimming, good friends focus. Perfect mix of learning, and relaxing. We traveled with 6 friends, other 4 travel companions delightful.
