The holiday was very well organized. We stayed at very nice hotels and the food served at breakfast and dinner (where relevant) was excellent. The routes were for the most part rustic and scenic. OnFootHolidays gave us the name and number of someone to contact for guidance and during an emergency which was extremely useful.

We had seven days of walking through a lovely scenic area of Catalonia, with plenty of variety. The route was very well designed, taking us over hills, along and over rivers, through woods and by vineyards and plantations of olive, almond and hazel - with two monasteries and some prehistoric rock paintings to visit for good measure. On most days there was a choice of routes, so one could decide whether to have a bit of a challenge or to take a shorter walk and have time to appreciate the many birds, flowers and butterflies.

We have been on many On Foot holidays, so knew that we would be well taken care of: very good walks and accommodation, flawless organisation, all the practical information one could wish for, and a book giving very full and interesting background gen on the area. They are very good on communication: responsive, helpful and on the ball.

Can't fault them. Every detail taken care of, from travel arrangements (including train timetables), walking route (it's impossible to get lost), suggestions for restaurants and the care they've taken in choosing the accommodation. They've really thought about the places you stay eg Burg Liebenstein, where you have your meals surrounded by armour served by delightful staff, whilst looking out on the Rhine. Loads of historical, geographical and nature details also given.

Second great holiday we've done with On Foot. Mallorca was just as good.

We've been on a number of specialist walking holidays with various companies. OnFoot Holidays has been by far the best. From initial contact I could tell this company knew what they were doing. The information/support pack was incredibly detailed and proved extremely useful. Whilst on holiday, the local contact was in touch regularly and responded quickly to any questions we had. The notes for the routes we took were remarkably accurate in terms of timings, distance and gradings. All the accommodation arranged was more than acceptable and our bags were moved around as arranged.

On Foot Holidays was not an operator we had come across before - but - with their high reviews we decided to use their services. We were not disappointed. Their speed of response and quality of information and arrangements could not be bettered in my opinion. On Foot Holidays team should be congratulated in delivering such a fabulous experience for their customers.

From start to finish this was a triumph , to the hotels booked to the careful walking instructions , for the accurate timings and difficulty descriptions to all the tips and advice given .. just a brilliant holiday .

This hike is a good choice if you want to explore a part of Europe in March/April and like to have a pleasant temperature to do it in. I was surprised that the area had so much to offer and the route went through some very interesting scenery. As usual the chosen accommodation and people looking after us were fantastic. As a bonus the area has great cuisine and some interesting wines.

I have used On Foot Holidays at least 5 times and have been always impressed by their personal service and professionalism. I like that they try to find hikes in less busy but still interesting areas and they spend a lot of effort finding interesting family run accommodation which means that I always look forward to seeing where I will end up that evening. Compared to other companies i have experienced they have a very good route notes, maps and Gpx files to aid with the fun part of navigating.

We are repeat clients of On Foot as we enjoy their walks which are well curated and in interesting natural areas and quaint towns. The two of us walked over 5 days taking in the sights and local rural culture and stayed 6 nights in local hotels. The trip was self-guided and the route is provided to us by map and instructions plus a GPS track map that can be used offline. A local contact also helped us by phone with some of the logistics. We travelled from Australia for our holiday and the walk occupied one week in a trip of 4 weeks.

On Foot are based in the UK. The planning included prebooking hotels and bag transport between hotels. Once the dates are locked in they keep in touch and respond to our email enquiries overnight. About a month out we receive a walkers' pack which has the track notes, emergency details and details of how to travel to and from the start and finish by public transport. There are also notes on local attractions and restaurant recommendations . We have not met any On Foot staff but it all works faultlessly. This was our 4th trip with them over about 12 years. We try to do an On Foot walk every time we get to Europe. There are lots of options.

Never have we been on a hike that so resembled a quest with puzzles to solve and messages in stones left for us. This was a challenge for us but a wonderful one. It combined great beauty and fascinating culture
