We walked for five days from The Globe Inn in Chagford England to Bayards Cove Inn in Dartmouth England. Along the way we stayed at beautiful old inns and cottages and experienced the beautiful Devon scenery along the way.

On Foot Holidays provided detailed notes, maps, and GPS tracks to guide us on our way. They also provided information about various points of interest along our path. We got a welcoming text and contact information upon the outset of our walk.

Four retired girlfriends left their husbands at home to walk six days through the Dordogne. From the first communication with On Foot staff through the detailed narrative of the walk and accompanying GPS, we felt secure in knowing that everything would be just as they said. The hosts at each of our small hotels were especially gracious knowing that we were On Foot walkers. The menus were delicious and exemplified local home-style cuisine. The September weather was perfect for our walks through varied countryside, oak forests, vineyards, farmland, woodlands with destinations being among the most beautiful villages in France. Exactly what we were looking for.

The On Foot team was responsive and answered all our questions, even the one about "Are there chiggers on the route?" Emily even went to the local pharmacy to find out what to do about chigger bites. And luckily chiggers were out of season on our walk! Emily met us the first day at our hotel, gave us additional information and helped alleviate any anxieties we had about a self-guided tour.

Wow! Terrific Tuscany! This holiday has it all…breathtaking panoramas; vineyards and olive groves; majestic places of worship; thermal baths; challenging yet peaceful hikes; quaint towns; excellent and distinctive accommodations; PLUS phenomenal food and wine. We are in our mid-late 60’s and tackled this trip in early September, 2022. There’s not much shade along the way, it’s HILLY, and the temps were in the low 90’s (F.) so it was unusually hot. While the hikes weren’t easy for us, everything that we experienced along the way yielded a huge sense of accomplishment at day’s end. Directions were excellent and sometimes made us chuckle. We took 10 days to do the 7 night journey and wish we had planned two nights in every town to have a recovery day between hikes and more fully experience all that each town had to offer. We couldn’t recommend On Foot Holidays more highly. From start to finish, all of our inquiries were answered promptly and the information provided addressed every detail of our journey. This vacation was all that we anticipated and so much more! We have memories for a lifetime! Thank you, On Foot Holidays!

A wonderful trip along the northwest Spanish coast from lighthouse to lighthouse. We found the scenery to be wonderful, the trails generally well marked and gorgeous at every stop, and the logistics like hotels and restaurants all very well planned.

On foot holidays helped us plan our trip, only to have it canceled by COVID-19. We redid the trip along those same specifications and they helped us once again. We found them personable and very responsive.

Coordinated through onfootholidays... did the Camino du Faro with 4 friends. 6 days of walking/hiking along the spectacular Galacia Coast. The diversity kept it fresh. And the care of onfootholidays made it easy and worry free.

We booked a five day walking holiday along the Amalfi Coast with some additional days in Sorrento and Capri.

On Foot Holidays provided a five day walking holiday for us on the Amalfi Coast with some additional days for relaxation. The hotels were excellent and the walking notes and support information was extensive and very useful. On Foot Holidays always responded to any queries quickly and courteously and were a pleasure to deal with.

We have recently returned from our walking holiday to the Dolomites with On Foot Holidays. Everything about the holiday was wonderful. We enjoyed staying at a range of types of accommodation from two 4 star hotels, a bed and breakfast hotel and a mountain refuge. It was lovely to be able to discover different parts of the Dolomites and to move on to the next accommodation without carrying a massive rucksack. The route notes give excellent directions with alternatives in case of bad weather or tired legs. It is very reassuring to have the back up of a person in the area who can be contacted in case of difficulties.

The staff at On Foot are knowledgeable about all the details of the holidays and so give very good advice. They are all very friendly and professional, have personal experience of the holidays and go the extra mile to ensure all aspects of the holiday run smoothly. The routes chosen and hotels were accurately described. Using On Foot allows us to have a walking holiday in beautiful parts of different European countries without doing vast amounts of research and planning ourselves. We can start enjoying the holiday from the moment we arrive and find our way with ease. This was our 5th holiday with On Foot and we are looking forward to the next.

We had a lovely 6 day, 7 night self-guided inn to inn walking tour in Dorset, UK in September 2022. The countryside and villages were beautiful and full of history. We began the walk in Tisbury and continued on until we reached the coast where we relaxed for a couple days following our walk.

On Foot Holidays handled all the arrangements for lodging and dinners, baggage transfers and, taxi transfers. They provided all information related to travel (getting to the start of the walk, transfers back to the airport, etc). They gave us a very thorough history of the areas we walked. The route notes were excellent and often suggested in the notes places to stop for coffee or a picnic lunch. On Foot also provided information on restaurants, shops, tipping, local customs, etc.

We loved the scenery, walking from beautiful Lake Maggiore to the top of Mottorone, with its spectacular views of snow topped mountains. Then down again amidst beech and chestnut woods, along paths carpeted in falling autumn leaves, 'chatting' to friendly donkeys and cows along the way. The Stations of the Cross was wonderful to experience (we counted at least 15), and finally enjoyed a relaxing walk along the pristine waters of Lake Orta before arriving at our lakeside hotel.

We were cautious about returning to Europe from Australia after Covid-19, but arrangements were handled with speed and expertise. We booked very late (just 3 weeks prior to departure), yet the On Foot team managed to secure bookings at all our chosen hotels. This was our second holiday with On Foot, we will definitely be back!

I had a magical 6 days with a friend walking through the charming Dordogne valley. We hiked about 10 miles each day and loved the variety of scenery, the peace and quiet, the historic villages along the route. We walked in mid-September when the weather was perfect and there were few other hikers on our route. We enjoyed the small hotels and wonderful food along the way.

I have been on two other self-guided walks with On Foot Holidays and will use them again. I love their route choices and the comfortable, not-too-fancy lodgings. They are very responsive and flexible when planning a trip. The materials supplied in advance were just what we needed and the routes were well designed and easy to follow. When traveling with On Food Holidays I never worry about anything going wrong and I'm impressed with the value for the money. I have recommended them to several friends.
