We walked for a week in the Dordogne. On Foot planned the route, found beautiful places to stay, tailored everything to our requirements and arranged everything from arriving in France until we left. Hard to beat....

On Foot always offer lovely walking holidays in beautiful places - and this was one of their best. The route was very well planned, and we found ourselves in new places we'd never have found in really lovely hotels. On Foot ensured that the whole holiday was tailored to our needs and our guide Emily was always helpful when we needed her. A memorable holiday!

The route selected was a beautiful one and the host accommodation was very good. We did not see many people on the route and it felt as though we genuinely had an authentic window into a Ligurian experience.

They were very responsive to any query, the quality of the track notes was very good and they accurately describe the level of difficulty of the walk. The local contact is also an invaluable safety arrangement. The route selection was excellent.

This is our second experience of a walking holiday organised by On Foot - if anything this year was even better than last year. The route directions were accurate and gps was a good back up. Accommodation throughout was excellent - friendly hosts everywhere we went.

As with our previous holiday with On Foot Holidays our trip to the Italian Lakes was perfectly organised and stress free. Our luggage was always ready waiting for us at each new overnight stay. We loved the hotels we stayed in, and the food was amazing. The walks were very well described and we enjoyed the beautiful beech woods, gorges and pretty villages. The only disappointing aspect of our holiday was the weather - sadly beyond On Foot’s control!

Without exception our experience of dealing with On Foot holidays has been excellent. It comes across strongly that they really care about their customers, taking the time to provide updates about the potential bad weather for example. Locally based contacts are also always available in case of any issues, Feedback from one of the hotels we stayed in was that On Foot were always a pleasure to deal with too.

Slovenia is beautiful. Italy is marvelous. A wonderful walk from mountains, through forests and vineyards, down to the Adriatic Sea. I rarely saw a soul except when passing through villages. Accommodations were clean and comfortable; hosts attentive; and food delicious. I never had to ask; everything was always efficiently done -- room ready, bag waiting; lunch packed. The route notes were accurate and useful. The uploaded GPS maps kept me pointed the right way. The local representative was welcoming and very helpful. Solo travel and a vegan diet were easy. I liked every step. As soon as I got home, I contacted On Foot Holidays and signed up for my next walk.

On Foot Holidays is superb. Dealing with the office was a pleasure -- open and honest about pros and cons; quick to respond to inquires and requests, including evenings and weekends; and thorough with information and instructions. On the ground, the local representative was in touch and helpful throughout, but never intruding. All the logistics went like clockwork. I can't overstate how well they prepare the traveler and how smooth they make the travel.

Friendly, very responsive, organised: On Foot had thought of all eventualities. We had an excellent time.

We travelled with On Foot Holidays from Santiago to Finisterre. The views of the Atlantic and the deserted 2 km beaches were quite wonderful. We also experienced the energy and vibe of the Camino which has been extended to Finisterre. The accommodation was great especially the Youth Hostel in Muxia and the Lighthouse hotel at Finisterre.

We find the web site very useful in choosing the holiday, with filter options. Communication is always very efficient and the walking pack comprehensive. It is always good to know there is a local contact even if not required. This is our second holiday and we plan to use them again.

The three of us started off in Bilbao, then we’re transported by cab to Elizondo. We started our walking from there, walking something like 15 km/day. We had great experiences walking and in the hotels and towns we stayed in.

Aznar was almost like a fourth member of our group. Though we never met face to face we checked in with each other regularly.

A fantastic mix from quirky to spectacular accommodation & food. Walking was challenging but achievable. A local contact was reassuring for novice walkers, but fortunately we did not need her services
