We were away 4 days & 5nights. Our 1st 2nights were on the lovely Isola Superiore in the middle of the lake. Every day we hiked to a different location - each one interesting & beautiful. We had excellent GPS files & hand-written directions & enjoyed each hike for its challenges & off-the-beaten track discoveries. Wonderful breakfasts were included every day & 2 picnic lunches & 2dinners too. One of the dinners was worthy of a Michelin star. Each of the town/villages we stayed had highlights & the hotels were fantastic. We did ask for the upgraded accommodations if possible & we’re lucky to be in suites in 3 of the hotels & they did not disappoint. This is a wonderful way to learn more about the history of the area & we could not have had a better time.

On foot holidays were attentive & patient with all our questions. Returned our emails immediately - supplied us with everything we needed when we set out one day & left our instructions behind. Although we were essentially on our own during the day, we always felt safe that if we ran into trouble, there was someone to call who could help us out if needed.

4 day self guided hike through Piedmont, Italy. The hikes were sufficiently challenging and varied. Great hotels with friendly staff.

On Foot Holidays were very helpful in planning and booking our vacation. Provided excellent cue sheets, maps and local information before the trip. Easy to contact during the trip to confirm post trip travel details and help with a dental emergency.

Self guided walking holiday with On Foot Holidays

Very well organised, friendly and efficient with excellent local support.

It was a hotel-to-hotel walking holiday in the Czech Republic to which we added on a couple of additional days in Prague. On Foot provided the maps and walking instructions, arranged the transport of our luggage and taxis to and from the airport. The walking was in a rugged, remote, unspoilt part of Bohemia and we loved it.

The communication with the company before, during and after was excellent, we loved all the different hotels we stayed in (variety of levels), and the maps and walking instructions were excellent. We enjoyed every day of the holiday, have travelled with this company before, and will be doing so again. Everything was as expected - the company provide a lot of information about the walking routes, walking specifics (difficulty, altitudes, distances, timing etc), and where you stay beforehand so you can choose exactly wahat you want and get what you expect - weather aside!

We completed a 6 day hike from Turnov to Jicin visiting 5 castles and walking through beautify forests and countryside and then spent 2 days in Prague. The hike was between 14 and 22 KM each day on a variety of paths. There was a great variety of accomodations along the way, especially in Prague, with our tour operator organizing our luggage from one location to the other.

Very responsive to questions and requests for additional help before and during the tour. The information packages were very useful and provided accurate digital as well as written instructions. We especially liked the varied types of accomodations that seemed to reflect the varied nature of the locations.

We booked from Australia through On Foot Holidays who made all our accommodation and transfer arrangements in advance and arranged for the carriage of all but our day-packs from accommodation to accommodation. The selection of different accommodation types was excellent and all administration was conducted cheerfully and efficiently. Map and route descriptions were up to date and helpful.

All correspondence between tour operator and us has been friendly, helpful, timely and accurate. I cannot fault On Foot Holidays.

We have had several holidays with On Foot and we really appreciate the personal service provided by their friendly staff. They know the walks well and have led us to areas we would never otherwise have discovered.

My friend and I had a truly wonderful ten day hike on the Lighthouse Way from Malpica to Fisterre. It was a hiker's hike with long days up and down along the coast. From the Atlantic breaking onto cliffs to white sand beaches to calm inlets, there was huge variety in the scenery. Other than the towns, we encountered few people on the trails and the seafood in Galicia has to be the best in the world.

The logistics were handled flawlessly by On Foot Holidays from start to finish. We stayed at nine different places from small inns and hotels to agritourismos to our own little apartment. All were special in their own ways, often with ocean views and with kind and helpful hosts. Our local contact, Aznar, kept us well informed and with On Foot's beautiful maps, Blue Book and directions, we never had trouble following the route.
