My wife and I did the 7-day Light House Way walking tour in Galicia. The Trip exceeded expectations in literally every way. Some background, we've done a couple dozen bike or hike trips in Europe, many self-planned and supported, and about 10 through tour operators, in which they move our luggage from inn to inn, like this trip. Also in the two weeks previous to our Galicia hike we had done a week walking and week biking in Portugal. So we were worried about burnout and whether this trip would feel like a let down. Instead the trip was incredibly rewarding. We did about 10 miles per day. First of all, there was hardly anyone else on the trail. The first day we met two other hikers, second and third day literally saw no one else on the trail, in either direction. The scenery was beautiful, like the rocky coast of Maine plus beautiful fields and cliffs like England , stone walls everywhere. Plus deserted beaches that were perfect for swimming. The inns/hotels were all superb and we had great food options in all the towns. On a few days we needed to carry lunches as the route is so remote there was no place for lunch along the way. The trail was pretty well marked, the GPS and notes from On Foot were spot on. And the route really wasn't very difficult, but it can be overgrown at times because it doesn't get a ton of usage. And one more thing, the local support person Aznar was also fantastic. Twice we had forgotten an item at our inn, and Aznar immediately called the inn and had them find the item and include it in our luggage to be shipped. Also we he arranged rides on two short road walking sections for us. Really responsive and competent. So for us, it was a really wonderful experience: totally comfortable, beautiful scenery/trail, great support from Aznar, great swimming. Really a top notch hike.

We were a group of 7 and did a 5 day trip from Elizondo in the foothills of the Pyrenees up to the coast at Hondarribia and then along the dramatic ridge to San Sebastian. The countryside was beautiful - with far reaching views of green wooded hills. We walked through small unspoilt villages and hardly saw another person on the trail for the first three days. We all loved the sense of the journey and the adventure of finding our way across the hills and valleys, finally arriving at the coast. A walk of contrasts - no two days the same.

Excellent support from the office giving good guidance on specific details on the routes and help with GPR tracking app. Aznar could not have been more helpful - the weather was potentially quite stormy and he made sure we had an up to date forecast before we left in the mornings. A lot of detail on the routes with helpful information on where to buy lunch etc.

This area of the Czech Republic is beautiful, and the hiking routes selected by On Foot Holidays were the right level of getting a good workout but also overall ease of walking and enjoying the surroundings. And I greatly appreciated that most of the walking was in shade. The nightly accommodations selected were also great.

Very responsive and supportive. And of course knowledgeable about the routes walked and excellent suggestions on where to stay pre- or post-trip if so desired.

On Foot Holidays organized a wonderful and memorable week for the two of us, for our Golden Anniversary trip, in the Dordogne region of France. The hotels they booked were all very comfortable, and the included meals at the hotels were superb. On Foot provided an excellent itinerary, with opportunities to shorten our daily hikes when needed. The route included some of the most beautiful villages imaginable, and, between the villages we walked through a variety of landscapes-- fields, woods, meadows, and country roads. The maps, narrative guides, and GPS tracking, provided the assurance that we were on the right route.

They were efficient and accommodating, responding quickly to any concerns. The advance materials they sent prepared us for our trip with useful tips and excellent personal comments from their local tour organizer. Their service surpassed our expectations.

It was a 5-day walking holiday in the Dordogne, visiting some of the most beautiful villages in the area and walking through varied countryside and farms. The walk was supported with my luggage transported each day and all meals provided. The route was varied and interesting, there were plenty of options to adjust the length of the daily walks, the hotel accommodation was top class, with excellent dinners. I received excellent information and guidance, with a local contact person available if needed.

On Foot Holiday provided excellent service from my first email request for information. Emails were responded to very quickly, the information provided was comprehensive and clear, the support during the walk was responsive and reliable. On Foot Holidays were proactive, noticing and addressing potential problems (such as needing to book a dinner reservation due to a long weekend). I was a solo walker, but felt completely secure with the information and support that was provided.

This was a great hiking holiday with walks around Lake Maggiore and steep climbs up Mottorone, a mountain 1490 metres above sea level, and then down the other side to Lake Orta. The hikes went through pretty woodland, with wonderful views down to the lakes and spectacular views to the snowcapped peaks of the Monte Rosa Alps when viewed from the top of Motorone. There were also lovely sightseeing days on other islands on the lakes.

A company called On Foot Holidays. A friendly, helpful and quickly responsive team who have walked the various routes on offer and provide excellent walking notes, guidebooks and planning advice. They book all hotels and organize daily luggage transfers so that the walker only needs to carry a small backpack. They provide a local contact well versed in the route and available for directions or help if required. They also provide a GPS map of the route to download and follow for additional support.

Their extensive well written documentation anticipated just about every question. The organisation was excellent and absolutely nothing went awry

very friendly staff, whoever was on the other end of phone or email knew exactly what had been done or was being organised and could answer queries and always returned calls if necessary. They were exceptionally helpful this time as we had left maps behind and with help from the Italian end we were able to walk as planned with all required maps . Could not have been more efficient and helpful

This is a beautiful route through wooded hills, flowery pastures and villages with many traditional buildings. The high ridges are exhilarating, especially when you bestride the border! Lovely accommodation, and all the arrangements (like bag transfers) worked perfectly.
