We thoroughly enjoyed our perfectly planned and supported walk in the Yorkshire Dales with On Foot Holidays. Every detail was considered and this made our independent walking holiday go smoothly. We received a warm welcome every place we stayed, food recommendations and accommodations were excellent. All transfer points were well organized and our interactions with the home office were always friendly and helpful. This is our second time using this company and I’m sure there will be more holidays with them in the future!

This was a route through the Peloponnese, an area of Greece we were not familiar with, and we were definitely not expecting it to be so breathtakingly beautiful and varied We loved the challenge of the walk, the variety of landscapes that we walked through, the silence and being immersed in such unspoilt nature.

The attention to detail was beyond expectations. We were a little bemused by how much we received prior to going, but once we were on the walk we appreciated how much we needed it. At every single point on the holiday we felt supported and if anything untoward had happened, reassured that there would be a response immediately either in Greece or back in the UK. We have organised walking holidays with other companies but On Foot are in a different league in comparison for the service we received. Will definitely use them again and will be recommending them to anyone who listens!

Wonderful experience. Loved the hikes very challenging and the accommodations we’re comfortable. This was the first time my extended family had done a trip like this and they loved it. Would do it again.

The tour company on foot holidays was very communicative and our in country guide was helpful every day. We liked how challenging the hikes were each day and the instructions were clear. Self guided.

5 days walking through the sandstone 'rock towns' of the Cesky Raj in North East Czechia. We only discovered this as we were attending a wedding in the country and so looked for a suitable holiday to go with this. As soon as we found an On Foot holiday in the area we were delighted to sign up.

We have used On Foot Holidays for 3 different walking holidays so far and we have enjoyed all three and the fact that we have not needed to contact them during the holiday suggests they know what they are doing. We will be using them again.

We thoroughly enjoyed this walking holiday in the Basque Pyrenees starting inland and reaching the coast. The walks were thoughtfully planned, passed through a fabulous landscape and the views were spectacular. The selection of family owned small to medium sized hotels were ideal and, although we eat very little meat, we were still able to enjoy some very good Spanish meals often based around fish or vegetarian options.

From our first contact with the team at On foot, we felt we had personalised and very prompt attention. All the information linked with our trip was extremely detailed and accurate. It was really helpful to be able to what’s app the local guide each evening for tips about the next day’s route and his local interpretation of the weather forecast.

This walk ticks all boxes - amazing scenery and great towns to reward yourself with a good meal and a few drinks when the hard work is done. The walking was superb. The Amalfi Coast can be quite crowded yet we hardly met anybody on the slopes above. Well-varied walks and great hotels. There were many highlights: the path of the Gods, the view from high of Positano and Amalfi and especially the lonely walk on the Sorrento Peninsula with unparalleled views of Capri. Brilliantly organised and fantastic notes to make the journey as effortless as possible.

Friendly and superbly organised, On Foot make you feel like you are important to them.

We walked from La Brigue in the Alpes Maritimes down to Menton on the Mediterranean coast, staying in hotels or BnBs en route, with On Foot shouldering the burden of taking our bags from place to place. It was a brilliantly conceived walk, with options each day to allow for varying weather or energy levels. The instructions and maps were detailed and accurate and the places we stayed were comfortable and often spectacularly sited. We were lucky with the weather and had a fabulous week of the big outdoors, with friendly hosts and lots of good food and wine.

On Foot tailored the holiday to suit our timing and were responsive and helpful throughout. The communication was excellent, with a walker's pack offering clear instructions and extra information for every stage of the walk. We found having the freedom of walking on our own but with a local contact to offer reassurance if we needed it was a winning combo. I would definitely travel with them again.

6 lovely days walking - Naxos and Amorgos. Although late Spring the wild flowers were beautiful and the weather perfect for walking.

The team at On Foot were great. Their responses timely, helpful and comprehensive. They were happy to tailor the trip to meet our requirements.

We did a five day self-guided walking tour in the Dordogne, staying at small hotels in historic medieval villages. The scenery and wildflowers were amazing and we enjoyed being in what felt like remote areas, untouched by crowds and modern life. At night, we enjoyed the comfort of some lovely little hotels and the excellent food offerings of the terroirs in rural France.

The walk and accommodation details were really well-organised. They were always prompt to answer emails and responded thoughtfully and very clearly to any queries we had about the trip. The local contact person made sure to meet us before we started our walk to ensure everything was ok. They were keen to get our feedback to continue to improve the experience.

We had a wonderful 8 day holiday in Southern Tuscany- starting with a full day in Siena exploring the old town and then walking over 6 days from Siena to Montepulciano. We travelled from hill town to hill town through beatiful landscape, the fields a track edges were a riot of colour with wild flowers. The hard slog up hill at the end of the days walk was well worth it with lovely restaurants serving traditional Tuscan food and fine wines. We saw a wild boar in a forest which was a thrilling experience, we kept our distance until it moved on. The locals were so friendly, making us feel so welcome. We took the opportunity to do two wine tastings in different towns, learning about wine growing and harversting along the way. A wonderful experience I would highly recommend.

This was our 3rd self-guided walking holiday with On Foot Holidays. The whole experience is very positive, lots of guidance when booking on the best months to travel, where to stay etc. The office staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It doesn't matter who you speak to they always pick up from the last conversation instantaneously. The pack that is sent out with the travel to start, the pack for each day with maps and written guidance are always accurate and comprehensive. There is gps routing that the office help load on your phone, but we have only used it for a very rare double check- the walking notes/maps are so good. The additonal "blue" booklet gives additional information on history/things to see at each location- which is always interesting. We also have access to a local contact, which is good to know, but everything is so well planned they are rarely needed. I have recommended On Foot holidays to many of my friends and I wouldn't use any other company for self-guided walking.
