We did a 6 day walk from Laxe to Finisterre. What a great adventure! Wild coastal beauty, quiet, mostly empty paths, friendly locals, excellent planning and instructions from On Foot Holidays. It was even better than I had hoped!

On Foot Holidays communicated with us well in advance, and sent us a very detailed folder with everything we needed for our holiday. Their attention to detail is impressive, and during our holiday the local contact was easily available to answer questions and give advice. They did everything possible to make sure our self-guided walk was stress-free. I would definitely go on another holiday with them!!

The route was described very well in advance and trail markings and directions were clear and easy to follow. The countryside is beautiful and the accommodations were really exceptional. The hosts were gracious, the food excellent and the locations were very picturesque and authentic. This route has rocky portions but those could be maneuvered. We did not encounter any other walkers on this route.

Our five days of walking in Northern Portugal surpassed our expectations in terms of the route, scenery and accommodations. The route notes and other material supplied by On Foot - and the general service provided by their office team and local support - were fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the company and this particular trip.

We were really pleased with the service received from On Foot, they were always on hand to provide us with information and resolved any issues we had quickly and to our satisfaction. The route notes were perfectly detailed and the other handbooks and material provided were also of a high quality. Having a friendly local contact was also something we appreciated. It has also been nice to see how well they respond to feedback.

Onfootholidays take care of booking accommodation, luggage transfers, (and taxis where needed), and provide detailed maps and route notes (as well as fascinating local information). This enables us to relax and enjoy the sense of journey, walking from village to village, staying in lovely places whilst eating great food. Perfect.

Every time we contact the office to enquire about another holiday, it feels as if we’re ‘phoning friends. Fantastic service.

We walked over 100 miles from La Brigue to Menton on the coast , staying in small b & b / small hotels. Our baggage was taken on each morning to our destination of the day . Walks were challenging as we opted for the hardest route , scenery was breathtaking …a real adventure into nature .

On the foot holidays , it’s our second holiday with them …they do all the planning and we just follow instructions and have a wonderful time

This was our first experience with a self guided walking tour. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the entire experience. It is an unforgettable way to experience a country and its culture.

We were extremely impressed with the provided maps and detailed instructions as to what to expect daily on the trail. Our accommodations were very good considering the rural nature of our trip.

Everything about this holiday was first rate-the scenery of spectacular gorges and woodland paths and vineyards in an unspoiled region,varied accommodation in interesting hotels including a Parador in a converted monastery and a winery and well organised arrangements

We have now traveled with On Foot on eight occasions and have enjoyed every holiday. The service is very efficient but also personal and the holidays are all off the beaten track in beautiful walking country with well picked accommodation.

We hiked in the Dolomites and it was challenging but rewarding. I traveled with my adult sons and it was a lovely holiday exploring Italy and hiking in the Dolomites. Everyone should experience this beauty!

On Foot Holidays was very organized and their detailed hiking itinerary was perfect. We were never lost or confused and appreciated knowing what to expect at all times. Our lodging was nice and each town had so much charm. We can’t wait to return for another hiking adventure!

My tour was a self guided walking tour. I did not have a human guide along the way, however, with the script, maps and gps app I felt I had a guide. Everything that On Foots Team provided me made my trip safe and fascinating. And they also provided lovely booklets, brochures about the area and places of interest to make this also a very educational trip.
