A fascinating walk up and down through the mountains and exploring the villages of Sospel, St Agnes and more. Also a luxurious stay at the end in Menton. Very peaceful and a really fascinating area. Loved the hosts and hostesses and our local contact, too. A real adventure and very happy to have explored this area thanks to the planning and work of On Foot Holidays!

The organisation was quick to respond and had great attention to detail, they provided us with much information and access to maps and GPS. They made the walk quite personal too.

The holiday was very well organised and we were comforted in knowing that every little thing had been thought of and prepared for. The walks were developed to be more of an adventure than just a way to get from A to B and we discovered the real country and its history.

Excellent communication from first contact in 2020 to actual travel post Covid in 2023. All communication was speedy and clear and we felt all aspects had been considered by them for our enjoyment, safety and well-being.

Self guided walking holiday from Lake Maggiore over the mountains to Lake Orta. Excellently organised by On Foot, including taxis to and from the airport, upgrades at the two hotels on the Lake and giving us alternative options when part of our one of our walking routes was closed due to road repairs.

They went above and beyond, taking care of all the little details and therefore taking away all the usual stresses involved in organising a holiday.

Our holiday was a breathtaking experience. We enjoyed being on our own each day. The flexibility of starting and ending each daily hike as a family was wonderful. It gave us the much needed time to be together. We live in three USA states between the four of us. We enjoyed the views, the places we stayed overnight, the incredible food and the different landscapes...the sharp and jagged mountains, the wild flowers, the wooded areas, the cow pastures, the river, the lake...it was all so beautiful.

Our hiking plans were laid out very nicely. The directions, maps and handbook provided were excellent resources. However, we thought we would have more contact with our tour operator. Our tour operator was available only by phone. We never got to meet. We accidentally met Danielle. He was very helpful as we were slightly off our hiking path.

This was a most enjoyable experience, five days of walking along mountain trails starting from Amalfi and ending in Sorrento. The walker's pack supplied by On Foot Holidays was excellent. We had no trouble following the routes outlined, and the maps provided were superb. Fabulous views every day and superb weather. A wonderful part of our seven-week holiday in Italy.

This vacation was everything we hoped for: challenging but not dangerous hikes, beautiful walks in mountains, lovely towns, excellent meals, and warm hosts. Despite going in high season, we saw very few hikers and found all of the towns and cities refreshingly relaxed. We are New Yorkers so perhaps that has something to do with it :)

Clear communication, the descriptions were accurate, and the lodging was carefully selected. I appreciate that the company's employees are warm and friendly without being pushy.

We were away 4 days & 5nights. Our 1st 2nights were on the lovely Isola Superiore in the middle of the lake. Every day we hiked to a different location - each one interesting & beautiful. We had excellent GPS files & hand-written directions & enjoyed each hike for its challenges & off-the-beaten track discoveries. Wonderful breakfasts were included every day & 2 picnic lunches & 2dinners too. One of the dinners was worthy of a Michelin star. Each of the town/villages we stayed had highlights & the hotels were fantastic. We did ask for the upgraded accommodations if possible & we’re lucky to be in suites in 3 of the hotels & they did not disappoint. This is a wonderful way to learn more about the history of the area & we could not have had a better time.

On foot holidays were attentive & patient with all our questions. Returned our emails immediately - supplied us with everything we needed when we set out one day & left our instructions behind. Although we were essentially on our own during the day, we always felt safe that if we ran into trouble, there was someone to call who could help us out if needed.

4 day self guided hike through Piedmont, Italy. The hikes were sufficiently challenging and varied. Great hotels with friendly staff.

On Foot Holidays were very helpful in planning and booking our vacation. Provided excellent cue sheets, maps and local information before the trip. Easy to contact during the trip to confirm post trip travel details and help with a dental emergency.
