Floral Adventure

This holiday in Western Andalucia, Spain, had it all - the main focus was botany and we saw some beautiful wild orchids, Narcissi and other flowers despite the warm, dry conditions. There was plenty of other wildlife to be enjoy too, from elegant Greater Flamingos to jewel-like Spanish Festoon butterflies. There was plenty of other wildlife to be enjoy too, from elegant Greater Flamingos to jewel-like Spanish Festoon butterflies. We stayed near the astonishing fortress-like medieval city of Ronda and were able to explore its many historic delights via the steep cobbled streets and cliff-top vantage points for which the town is justly famous. The holiday was an all-round feast of natural history and culture which will live long in the memory.

Christmas Birding in Nepal

We went to 4 National Parks in the south of Nepal, mainly for bird watching, but also looked for, and found, mammals.

Naturetrek did a great job before the trip and were, as always, very easy to deal with. And once in Nepal, the ground agents were superb, especially when internal flights had to be rescheduled for weather related reasons

Sundarbans, Brahmaputra and Manas wildlife and cultural adventure

We stayed for 3 nights in the Sudarbans Jungle Camp in the Sundarbans National Park. We visited the local village and spent 2 days cruising between the islands. We stayed for 3 nights in the Sudarbans Jungle Camp in the Sundarbans National Park. We visited the local village and spent 2 days cruising between the islands. After a day in Kolkata we flew to Jorhat to join the Sukapha for a 10-day wildlife and cultural cruise on the Brahmaputra river. During our cruise we went on 4 jeep safaris in the Kaziranga National Park and visited several settlements along the river bank. From Guwahati we travelled by bus to stay for 3 nights in the Musa Jungle Retreat near the Manas National Park. The trip gave us a really good mix of nature and sightseeing. The three separate components were well balanced and complemented each other. Our main guide Sujan Chatterjee was really excellent and he was assisted by others who were also very knowledgeable about wildlife and/or the local culture. The whole experience on the Sukapha was brilliant. The accommodation was very good, the food superb and the crew could not be faulted (cheerful, polite, helpful, knowledgeable - I could go on). It is one of the best holidays we have had and well worth waiting for since 2020 (due to Covid!!).

Rating for tour operator:

We have been on a number of other Naturetrek holidays (to Myanmar, The Falklands, Portugal, the Pantanal) and have thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The accommodation is usually very good and their wildlife guides are excellent. Their brochures gives clear information on what to expect from the holiday and their administration is well organized.

Holiday of a lifetime.

This was my first holiday with Nature Trek but it definitely won’t be my last. My Iceland experience was fantastic. It was perfectly organised. Our tour guide Dave looked after us so well. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights and went on a boat trip to see Orca and the crew of the boat estimated we saw about 40!

Trip of a lifetime to Mexico

From first booking until sadly saying farewell back at Heathrow, the experience was a perfect example of how a much longed for trip should flow. The pre-departure document covered every detail I needed to know about, the itinerary was thoughtfully compiled and carried out by leaders who clearly know their stuff. The accommodation was always just where you would have chosen yourself. Seriously cannot fault any aspect of the holiday, it'll stay ...
