We spent a relaxing and very enjoyable week in Cyprus travelling around with our expert guides looking at and photographing the islands wild plants and wildlife. From our comfortable hotels in Paphos and Polis our happy little group took daily trips to various wildlife locations in search of local flora and fauna, before returning to our base to discuss our day and enjoy a typical Cypriot meal A lovely way to spend Christmas.

The whole experience was well organised and scheduled by Naturetrek. We had two enthusiastic and very knowledgeable guides who ensured that we found many of the islands plants and animals, as well as experiencing the local culture and history.

A tour of the southerly regions Torres del Paine and Tierra del Fuego in Chile to search for Pumas and Penguins. The tour was very well organised and we had truly exceptional sightings of 12 individual pumas in 3 days. The local guides were excellent and the accommodation was comfortable throughout.

I have travelled with Naturetrek several times now and always find them very good to deal with. Any queries are answered promptly and they were very helpful in sorting out departures from more local airports.

Fuerteventura is a fascinating semi-desert volcanic island off the coast of Africa. We spent a week as part of a group of 12 enthusiasts with 2 experienced leaders, looking at birds and plants, including a number of endemic species, in a wide range of places and environments, based at a comfortable hotel in the middle of the island, and had very good views of lots of interesting species, notably Houbara Bustards, Cream-coloured Coursers, and a Pallid Harrier. Aspects of the holiday could have been improved - we started out too late (around 9:00) on most days, when in warm semi-arid areas the early morning is the best time to do and see things; and the food though very generous, was often short on local flavour and interest; but overall we had a very enjoyable and interesting time, with leaders who were well-informed about the birds, insects and plants.

Excellent website, with all the information we could reasonably ask for; and very helpful while booking. Good information pack. Tour leaders pleasant and helpful, with very good knowledge of birds and plants, but didn't really know enough about local history and its impacts on the local environment; programme not always well-planned. Other holidays with the same operator have been excellent.

2 day birding tour of The Forest of Dean. Weather on both days was inclement, but our leader, Oliver was undeterred, and did his absolute best to find a wide range of wildlife spots.

This was a week-long small group holiday on Gran Canaria, 15 people with two excellent guides. We looked at flora and fauna in a variety of habitats across the island and learned about its volcanic history that determined the landscape and climate. Our local guide was also very knowledgable about the original indigenous population and local customs. We were based in a good hotel and travelled out each day to different locations.

Naturetrek offers a variety of wildlife holidays and we have previously been with them to Assam, Namibia and France. All have been very well organised with excellent guides.

Excellent Guide who took us to several different sites, explaining all the birds to us and the environment in which they live together with their song/call. So easy to travel around and everything was very close to the chosen Hotel. Enjoyed the walks very much. The highlight was seeing a female Boar with her young and several Hawfinches amongst the trees.

The staff to whom we have spoken are all polite, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly and always want to help.

We had 14 days to best explore the wildlife of South and East Australia. Naturetrek organised a tour involving the Blue Mountains near Sydney, the Snowy River area, Tasmania and Kangaroo Island. The logistics were tricky but all worked perfectly. The guides varied from good to superb with excellent sightings of wildlife including platypus on both mainland an Tasmania. We saw 120 species of bird in the Snowy River area and all the endemic birds of Tasmania along with Spotted-tailed Quoll and many other Marsupials. It was an expensive trip but having private guides made it excellent and worth the cost.

Naturetrek specialises in expert-escorted wildlife and natural history tours, founded in 1986. We have been on several tours with them and have always found them professional and well-run.

We spent a week at Sukau Rainforest Lodge on the Kinabatangan river. This was our fifth visit which was organised for us by Naturetrek on each occasion. We enjoyed twice daily boat excursions on the river with our guide and had excellent views of the wildlife despite the huge amount of rain we had during our time there.

Naturetrek is a company you can trust to sort out any problems that arise during the holiday. For instance we were in Sukau when Covid-19 was spreading throughout the world and this affected our ability to keep to our schedule. However, Naturetrek rearranged our return and we arrived back home the day before lockdown.
