Great Plant Week

The small Spanish hotel as our base was an excellent choice with great meals etc. The added bonus was the owner is a very keen birder and butterflies and plants and knows the surrounding area very well. He came on our daily trips as a co leader so we got see the best areas for plants etc at that time. We got to walk in some amazing high valleys in the Spanish Pyrenees.

Philip Thompson has an amazing knowledge of all the flora and fauna and is very good at pointing out what you see on the walks. He is very organised and always explained what the next days walks would be like so you were well prepared. He is also very good at attending to any customers needs.

Birding in the Camargue

A relaxing holiday with the opportunity to see a wide range of birds - from hundreds of flamingos to a variety of herons, eagle owl, little bustard, cuckoos, griffon vultures, white storks and nightingales. There were also snakes, lizards, coypu and pond turtles. A good hotel and excellent picnics provided by the leaders.

Efficient and helpful tour operator, happy to arrange alternative travel arrangements. It’s good to know beforehand who the group leaders are and the names of fellow travellers. The distinctive luggage labels mean it is often possible to meet up with members of the group at the airport

Superb

It was at Alladale Wilderness Reserve and was extremely well organised with a very enjoyable itinerary. I saw lots of the wildlife I was hoping to see and our Guide and the rangers were kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. The accommodation was first class and so was the food, service and hospitality.

Birds, butterflies and ibex.

Good accommodation, out on drives and for walks. Seeing most of what we'd hoped to see. Good, informative guides.

Close encounters with Europe's top mammal predators

Our trip was with Naturetrek and called 'Poland's Mammals: In Search of the Eurasian Lynx'. Thanks to some excellent guiding we saw all the target species, including Lynx, Brown Bear, Wolf, Bison, Beaver and many more as well as some excellent bird species. The heavy snowfall was an added bonus as it is not often you get to throw snowballs in April!
