A Fantastic Trip to Romania

We visited the Carpathian Mountains, the Danube Delta, and mainland sites near Tulcea and the Black Sea. The local Romanian guide was excellent and the English leader supplied by Naturetrek was absolutely great. Both went to a lot of trouble to ensure everyone saw the wildlife they found and the trip was a great success. Accommodation and food were both exemplary, and the floating hotel on the Danube was an unforgettable experience.

A largely botanical trip to the Swiss Alpine area, plenty of insects, amazing scenery, good food and a few interesting animals (alpine salamander, red squirrel, fox and very unusually close views of chamois)... We used train and cable cars to reach the summits of the Schilthorn, Mannlichen and Niederhorn... including a ferry across Lake Thun....and had plenty of free time in Murren. Naturetrek arranged a "Go Slow" trip with two botanical experts to guide us.... so we didn't have to worry about transport or food...just enjoy the sights...as we rambled amongst the alpine meadows. The hotel was well-run and had superb views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau from most of the rooms.... I wasn't too bothered about all the different sorts of plants... however, the overall spectacle of the flowers, scenery, butterflies etc were stunning... and we even saw a few mammals

Everything I hoped it would be.

I had long hoped to visit Somerset, my home county, to expore the bird life of the Levels. The problem was, I didn't know the best places to go. I have travelled many places birdwatching by myself, but felt I needed some expert guidance this time. I am pleased to say that this is what I got. The hotel, travel arrangements, guides and other participants were all spot on. By myself I would probably still be wondering if I would ever see that first ...

From the Pantanal to the Iguazu Falls.

Travelled along the transpantaneira highway. Stopped 3 nights in 2 lodges to explore the area by vehicle then 3 nights at the flotel to explore by boat. Naturetrek are what they say. All about nature. They allow maximum time exploring, and viewing the wildlife. They organise the whole experience and the guides are always expects in their field. We spent an extra night in Brazil before flying home and were personally taken to the airport by our guide, even though the main tour had finished and the other clients had returned home. That is what I call service. Thanks Naturetrek.

Well led organised tour.

Long awaited holiday after Covid and this did not disappoint. Excellent leaders who had the knowledge of the area and of all the flora and fauna there. Arranged itinerary and visiting areas in accordance with weather conditions for best sightings. Certainly went the extra mile to achieve requests and make this a tour to remember. Able to relax in the knowledge that we were in safe hands.

Rating for tour operator:

Very friendly, professional service with an excellent choice of destinations. Previous tours have been very well led and where required a local guide has been on hand throughout. No problem when tours cancelled through Covid and offered the choice of a full refund or transfer of the booking to a later date or alternative, when available. Well organised and reliable service which together with any flight cancellations, etc., being re-organised by Naturetrek, leaves one to enjoy having all amendments taken care of, as and when necessary.
