Relaxing and interesting
This was a one day bird watching fest. Our guide was nom knowledgeable about all of the nature we saw. We loved the slow pace and enjoyed the company of the guide and the other couple.

An excellent day
A one day trip looking at the wildlife of th Lune Valley. Barrie was a first rate guide- knowledgeable, patient and good company. I learnt a lot and had a very enjoyable day. Well recommended.

Weymouth pelagic
The weather conditions were good for the first half of the day but then deteriorated into rain and thunderstorms. This affected what we saw and the whole experience. The sea conditions were relatively calm throughout. We didn’t see as much as I was hoping ie cetacean (other than a resident dolphin in Portland Harbour), Balearic Shearwaters and Storm Petrels. The sea conditions were relatively calm throughout. We didn’t see as much as I was hoping ie cetacean (other than a resident dolphin in Portland Harbour), Balearic Shearwaters and Storm Petrels. The highlight was the Manx Shearwaters but even these were distant. We did see all 3 Auks, Kittiwakes, Fulmars, Gannets, Rock Pipit and a distant Peregrine. The boat cabin was just about big enough for all 12 of us to cram into when it rained. There was no tea and coffee as per the trip description and there was not health and safety instructions which is customary on most boat trips. I had no idea whether there were life jackets on board and where they might be located. The trip leader was very very knowledgeable and friendly, and good at spotting things. I think we were probably just a bit unfortunate with the weather and sightings on the day!

Naturetrek See above also. I have been on many Naturetrek holidays and they are usually good to very good alround.
Thank you for the feedback and bringing this to our attention about the health and safety briefing. This should have been done with reference to life jackets in it - we will remind the skipper about this for future trips. A great shame about the weather and indeed this is likely to have impacted on sightings. I hope you are looking forward to your other holidays with us.

Amazing wildlife
Stunning birds and mammals , fantastic scenery, great hotels, amazing guides with astounding bird spotting skills. Kenya is a delight to visit, the ultimate safari.

I found Naturetrek very efficient, the office responded very quickly to any queries and the predeparture information was excellent. Whilst away the tour leaders were very competent at showing all the group interesting birds, other wildlife. They also were very good at looking after our welfare and provided some great picnic lunches!

Go Slow in Southern Spain
An excellent mix of bird watching, cultural visits and eating out at very different restaurants. Superb tour leaders who produced wonderful picnic lunches in the middle of nowhere!

Wildlife tour to Coto Donana and Extremadura
As birdwatchers in our 80s, the whole trip was outstanding, and made easy for us by excellent organisation and leadership. A wonderful wildlife experience in beautiful locations.

So Enjoyable
Quite simply - I had a thoroughly lovely time. We were met at the airport with a smile from Neil, our tour leader which set the scene for a very happy, laid back natural history tour. Both hotels that we stayed at were of a very acceptable standard as was the transport which we were provided with. Neil, our tour leader, was a font of easily accessable knowledge with the patience of a saint (how many times did he have to repeat himself as people ...

Just a great holiday all round.

Not really much to say - everything is so orderley and seamless that it seems as though your holiday has begun the moment that you contact them. Everyone is just so very helpful, information and instructions are clear and consice. Love them.

Fantastic. Exceeded all my expectations
This was a wildlife holiday to Panama staying in the Canopy Tower. Not a luxurious holiday but a holiday aimed at true naturalists who don't mind some basics. Despite the basics we were treated like it was a luxurious holiday.

Delights of the Dordogne
Having previously visited the Dordogne for two weeks of intensive French tuition, it was relaxing to just focus on the wildlife (especially the orchids) & sightseeing. I love the wildflower meadows and the pretty villages. Our two guides were excellent & complemented each other well, with one being the botanical expert & the other local guide organising our off-the-beaten-track itinerary & lunchtime picnics. Staff at Hotel Chastrusse were extremely accommodating & the 3 course evening meals were fantastic. Our bedroom overlooking a swimming pool was quiet, cool and the bed was comfortable. Fittings not high quality but perfectly adequate. The dining area and bar were more characterful. The countryside surrounding the hotel was unspoilt - lovely to hear cuckoos throughout the week & spot blue tits feeding their young in the brickwork of the main house! Great to see so many species & a profusion of butterflies - sadly in contrast to the UK. Another highlight was the content of an overnight moth trap, notably a Giant Peacock moth, Cream-spot Tiger moths & two species of hawkmoth. I had seen the medieval town of Sarlat during my previous visits to the Dordogne but not the clifftop Rocamadour or any of the other villages.

The Naturetrek office provided detailed, personalised pre-departure information, including trip reports from previous years. We have joined several Naturetrek trips since 2018, notably to Madagascar, The Gambia, Scotland & Dorset. This latest holiday did not disappoint!
