Butterflies of Cradle Valley (Naturetrek Day Trip)
Another wonderful day out with Bob Eade, such a knowledgeable and engaging guide. It's become an annual event, a day when I know I shall get good views of a wide range of butterfly and moth species (the only time I ever get to see green hairstreaks close-up), in the company of a group of like-minded people, in this beautiful Sussex landscape.

A company that scores highly on providing everything the clientele could wish for - trips very well organised, excellent leaders, great range of tours offered, good communication.

Eye-opening
I learnt so much not just about the camera settings needed and how to take better photographs but about the huge range of insects, flowers and fungi that could be found in a 200m range. Our guides were brilliant and extremely knowledgeable about the the area, flora & fauna and photography. Altogether perfect.

Excellent from start to finish
Eight days wildlife watching in Coto Donana and Extramadura. Locations stunning, birdlife top end and with Iberian Linx and Wild Boar plus numerous insects, flowers, butterflies and reptiles etc it was a very memorable experience, led by two knowledgable, personable and very focused guides. Just superb.

Communication excellent. Informative, easy to follow and delivered in a relaxed and professional way. All bases covered so at ease from the moment I booked the trip. Organised very well with clear itinerary which meant the maximum opportunity for wildlife watching and a number of elusive species encountered on the trip. Whole experience very enjoyable.

Bird watching in Spain's Coto Donana and Extremadura.
We were shown an astonishing number of birds by two outstanding guides in Simon and Marcus from Naturetrek . The two centred holiday included various contrasting habitats and every day provided exceptional bird watching opportunities.

The tour operator - Naturetrek - made the whole trip easy from very clear travel instructions, through information about the different species that we might see and even included a suggested packing list!

Butterflies of Cradle Valley, day trip. It was excellent
This was an accompanied 6 hour walk around the Cradle Valley within the South Downs National Park. The weather in the previous few days had been disappointing and our expectations were very low. However it was a bright and sunny day and we were a manageable group of seven plus our leader Bob Eade and a trainee guide Megan.Bob’s knowledge of butterflies, flora and general insects and wildlife was exceptional. Megan too had an enormous wealth of information concerning plants and insects and will be a great asset to Naturetrek in the future.. We had a picnic lunch in the sunshine and certainly gained a lot of information about butterflies and found an incredible number of species ( 14) and also some very special emperor moths lured by a pheromone lure. It was a wonderful day out and thanks goes to the leaders for making it so enjoyable.
