Wildlife watching in strait of Gibraltar

We stayed in a lovely farmhouse, spending the days on the coast watching bird migration over the strait, at marshes, in woodland and on a whale-watching boat ride

Wonderful wildlife experiences

Ardnamurchan is a very wild remote area of Western Scotland, which appealed to me. The scenery is breathtaking and the wildlife is abundant. Great birds are to be seen, White Tailed Eagles, Golden Eagles,, Puffins and many other birds. I enjoyed watching Pine Martens and Red Squirrels from our Bunkhouse, even saw red deer one morning.

As good as always.

It was a birding holiday. The weather was very good, even if there was wet weather the holiday would not have dampened our spirits. Me and my wife saw quite a few birds on the tour. My wife saw alot of birds she has not seen before. It was a group holiday and we had not meet anybody before. We enjoyed the experience immensely.

The tour operator was Naturetrek. They are very professional from start to finish. They are there to help you at anytime, when you phone them they're happy and polite. Nothing is to much trouble for them,if the one you're talking to does not know the answer they will find out the answer for you. We find them very good and intend to use them alot for our holidays.

Brilliant botany trip to the Isles of Scilly

I spent a week with a small group looking at wild flowers on the Isles of Scilly.. Our leader was extremely knowledgeable about the natural history of shorelines and and the Scillies in particular..His enthusiastic style was friendly and relaxed which enabled us to learn and also enjoy the peace of the islands.

The Mammals of Canopy Tower in Panama

A unique base with a stunning view each morning over the rainforest. Not many places where you can watch a Sloth munching its leafy meal, a family of Tamarins feeding on the fruit of a nearby Cecropia, with a vast array of colourful birds such as Keel - billed Toucans, Slaty - Tailed Trogan and Green Shrike Vireo. A night drive resulted in a Silky Anteater, Panamanian Night Monkey's and 9 Banded Armadillo among others. The days were thought ...

A night drive resulted in a Silky Anteater, Panamanian Night Monkey's and 9 Banded Armadillo among others. The days were thought out well with the high humidity in mind. The guides Alex and Eric didn't miss a thing! We visited various areas of forest with birds numbering over 200 by the end of the holiday with 2 nights at Canopy Lodge. The morning boat trip on Lake Gatun was wonderful.

A wonderful birding holiday

Based on a very comfortable hotel in central Malaga, we went by minibus to a variety of amazing locations, enjoying the scenery, the wildflowers and of course the birds. The guides were so very knowledgeable- and fun to be with; the picnics with local cheeses and other delights were great. Altogether a brilliant week!

Norway & Finland a world of difference.

Travelling with Naturetrek you are assured a great time. Their office team are honed at advising and keeping you up to date with everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. Norway and Finland were beautiful countries to visit, natural habitat in abundance and understandably the birds capitalise on this too. One thing which stood out was the cleanliness of everywhere. No litter blowing around , accommodation and staff presentation likewise...

Accurate brief in brochure’s a very personalised ‘feeling’ throughout communication. Information was succinct and thorough. I have a feel good factor travelling with Naturetrek. Ground staff at the event work hard to ensure everyone’s expectations are considered.

Nature on Isles of Scilly

The tour leaders guided us around the Isles of Scilly, on and off boats and walking through beautiful scenery. We saw a wide selection of sea birds, woodland birds, butterflies and wild flowers. The two leaders were able to use their knowledge to point out a variety of species.
