Wildlife at Its very best in the Western Isles of Scotland
We joined a small group of people to explore, in particular the birdlife of Lewis and the Shiant Islands in May 2025. Our group leader was so knowledgeable, not only about the wide range of birds but also where in this varied and beautiful landscape we would likely find them - ranging from mountains to coast. White tailed sea eagles and the magnificent golden eagles along with three types of divers, herons, a wide range of seabirds, puffins and many others were on the spotting list. There are historical sights also to be found and the fabulous large, clean and empty beaches restore one's faith in our declining environment. It is a very beautiful part of Scotland.

We have travelled with Naturetrek several times and their expertise in nature and wildlife is second to none. The organisation of holidays is excellent and their staff are knowledgeable and helpful both in the administration of the holiday and in the field.

An amazing and enjoyable experience
The whole holiday was a joy. Lovely people, excellent guides and comfortable accomodation with good local food. Blessed with good weather, each day we visited different places and saw a multitute of wildlife.

A wildlife holiday in Ardnamurchan
This was the first specialised wildlife holiday I had done. Every day was planned with the weather conditions and interests of the group in mind, so each day was different. The two tour guides had enormous depth of knowledge and wonderful identification skills. Although we were driven to different sites, we were outside a great deal. I enjoyed the scenery as much as the wildlife.

Communication with the Naturetrek office was really good and the guides were experts in their field. They created a lovely atmosphere and were sensitive to the differing needs of the party, regarding mobility.

Just Brown Bears Findland
A fabulous opportunity to see bears in the wild. We also spotted Raindeer. We stayed in a lovely lodge, where we visited by many red squirrels and an abundance of birds. The weather was very good, except for when we had some rain the moring we went for a boat trip, Though this did not spoil our trip. The night in the hide watching the bears was truly amazing. The guide and hosts at the lodge were exceptional.

Naturetrek Nature was the tour operator, communication was excellent, queries answered very quickly. Excellent tour guide. Accommodation was very good clean and comfortable. With home cooked food. Would certainly recommend.

Bears, Wolves and more
Excellently organised, We saw everything we wanted to see due to, mainly, the animals being in the right place at the right time but also to our team leaders knowledge of the area. The accommodation was good - friendly staff, just far enough out of town to be able to walk there and have countryside to wander in. Amazing scenery

very helpful in looking at alternative flights (but didnt quite work with trip itinerary), pre-departure information excellent. All paperwork delivered by mail (which in my personal opinion is most welcome).

Camargue week
It was relaxed, informative and led by two first rate guides.

Lake Kerkini
Something different every day. Although I would have liked to spend more time on Lake Kerkini. I did enjoy looking for different species of Birds in and around Thessaloniki, especially the Lesser Kestrels, my favourite bird of the holiday.

For us there is only one tour operator and that is Naturetrek. They are the best in the business with so many wildlife opportunities around the world.

Very good experiences for bird photos
Hello, I am a new but already loyal Naturetrek customer. I have already done several tours (Spain, Scotland, Botswana and recently Estonia). I then signed up for Gambia and Norway. As usual, I appreciated the organization of the last trip to Estonia where I was able to appreciate the bird migration, a real splendor!. Generally speaking, I really appreciate Naturetrek (Magnificent catalog, many good and quick contacts with the staff, competent ...

Even if I have to pay an additional cost (financial and time supplement), to go through London coming from the south of France, I prefer to use this good organization in which I have confidence. Wonderful wildlife - and great people too!
A wildlife break in Romania including the Danube Delta. Superb walks, lots of opportunities to see a variety of birds, visiting some fascinating places. The Trip Leader was friendly, accommodating, supportive and knowledgeable. The local guide was equally friendly and able to spot birds from a long distance. Both were great guys to share the holiday with. The only downside was the minibuses which were sometimes too small for luggage as well ...
