Pamber Forest and Silchester Common Day 50Trip with Nautretrek

Our Naturetrek guide Martin Pitt was knowledgeable. He offered lots of information and was proactive in finding species for us to see. There is so much diversity of habitat at Pamber Forest that maybe the second stop, where the monoculture means a dearth of biodiversity doesn’t add much more? Next time I will check on the walking beforehand, as 4.5 hours without a break is more than I’m used to.

Four days in different locations of North Devon looking at birds, flowers, butterflies and other wildlife, including a visit to Lundy Island - an amazing experience.

A one day trip to Affpuddle forest, Lodmoor and Radipole Lake in Dorset. This was a small group day with a local expert guide. We visited 3 different habitats and saw a huge number of birds including a Dartford Warbler. Butterflies and dragonflies were also plentiful with a rare Silver Studded Blue butterfly sighted. Our guide, Byron had fantastic knowledge of the area and ensured that everyone saw everything.

One day nature trek with Martin Pitt of Naturetrek. Martin was great at explaining the geology, history, and wildlife in Pamber Forest and always happy to answer questions. Walk was well paced for all walkers. Walk started on time and was well organised.

This was a wonderful and very memorable trip. I am already looking at two more Naturetrek trips for next summer. The guide was knowledgeable and flexible. All of us had a such a great time. Learned about birds, insects, plants, mammals, and also the local culture, which was really nice. It ended up exceeding my expectations for the tour. Would gladly do it again and again and again.

Naturetrek was completely organized and easy to communicate with. They helped so much working out logistics and making sure our experience was a great one. The hotel they picked was amazing, as was the itinerary and all the activities. Definitely will be using Naturetrek again; so much easier and relaxing than other tours I've been on.

This was our first trip to Norfolk and we went specifically to see birds we can't see in Scotland. We weren't disappointed. Spring is a great time to visit this area of the country. We enjoyed the small group liked that the distances to places were short travel times. Great guide.

Organised by Naturetrek I went on a trip to North Devon to explore the natural history of the area close to Woolecombe and Lundy Island. The itinery and the guide, Martin, was perfectly well planned and thought out with plenty of interesting sights and I rate this holiday experience very highly.

Naturetrek are an excellent operator to travel with and they are very attentive to any queries or requests. The one thing I particularly like about the company is when you ring them there is no pre recorded message that goes on and on and instead you are talking to a very experienced member of staff instantly who is able to answer any questions or deal with any concerns or queries quickly and efficiently with good communication all the way. I highly endorse Naturetrek as a top rated travel operator in their field!!!!

This was a trip to the Alps, for clients interested in all aspects of nature. Some were birders, some lepidopterists, some botanists, but all were well-catered for in their particular interest. The two leaders had complementary skills, in both identification and the locating items of interest. The accommodation was in a traditional hotel, perfectly comfortable and well-run. Meals were good, both the evening restaurant dinner, and the lunchtime picnics in the field. The minivans were comfortable and appeared to be in good condition. The daily walks were well-planned and well-judged for the predominant age group. In all, an excellent experience of the Swiss Alps
