A wildlife holiday in Romania, focusing on the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube Delta. The natural landscapes were fantastic and the wildlife incredible. Lots of different bird species were seen and to top it off we saw 8 individual bears.

The holiday was expertly organised by NatureTrek who arranged everything and were quick to respond to to any questions prior to the holiday. The two guides were excellent and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and Romania more generally. We would definitley use NatureTrek again. The holiday was well organised (by NatureTrek) and the 2 guides very knowledgeable.

A week in the Cairngorms watching wildlife particularly birds.. Its was an amazing week, with a small group of like-minded people. The tour guide was incredible - well planned, used all available time, very knowledgeable of the area we were in as well as the wildlife. Couldn't have found a better guide.

Everything was smoothly and efficiently done. Always a very kind and competent person on the end of the phone dealing with the booking and any queries I had.

Eight of us went watching wolves in Northern Spain staying in a series of converted farmhouses that were extremely comfortable and which also provided us with delicious rustic home cooked food. We had two superb knowledgeable guides who went out of their way to ensure that we saw wolves, and a wild cat, various species of birds, as well as the local country side, including coffee and hot chocolate at a local cafe, as a respite from the very wet weather. All in all it surpassed expectations and would recommend it to anyone interested in wildlife

Friendly, efficient, professional and thorough

We visited Romania, principally bird watching and spent time in the Carpathian Mountains, the Danube delta and the steppes. Our expert guides showed us many birds in those different habitats but their knowledge also extended to wild flowers, butterflies, moths and mammals, especially important for those whose interests were broader than birds alone. The small group consisted of 14 plus 2 guides which worked wonderfully well and meant that everyone felt that their interests were catered for with easy access to expert knowledge delivered in a fun and relaxed way.

Naturetrek provide a highly professional, and personal service of the highest quality. They supply detailed trip notes of earlier trips so we could properly assess whether the trip was what we wanted, assistance with making preparations, advice on clothing and equipment etc. Questions are answered promptly and with care and attention to detail and with thoughtfulness. All the staff we were in contact with over the booking, enquiries, on the trip and at their open day were so friendly and helpful. The whole experience was so positive.

Our holiday was to Uganda to trek Gorillas and Chimpanzees. From start to finish we saw everything we expected to and more. The experience with the Gorillas was amazing (pinch the skin stuff...."was I really there, just 6 feet from these magnificent Silver Backs and their family"). The trek for the Chimpanzees was equally amazing, we trekked for 4 hours in the jungle, through all sorts of terrain, the time went by in a flash ending with fabulous sights of the Chimps, again only 6 feet from us, almost posing for photos! Another highlight was finding the Shoebills in the swamps. The rest of our holiday consisted of jeep drives into various reserves across Uganda, visiting communities and bird and mammal watching. Our tour guide, Gerald, was absolutely fabulous (the best we have ever had), his mammal and bird knowledge was amazing. We had various types of accommodation throughout the holiday, all were equally wonderful, again in different terrains with lovely catering. It was great to see the Ugandan countryside and how much produce is grown by locals...the whole experience of this holiday was just fabulous, it exceeded our expectations and is one we will remember for ever.

From the booking of this holiday to the finish, everything was extremely well organised. We were so well informed of every detail of what was going to happen and when, backed up by lots of information of the areas to be visited during the holiday. We felt very confident that we were in good hands throughout the whole booking process and during the holiday itself. We certainly would not hesitate to recommend Naturetrek.

Got a very good feel for the Isles of Scilly which I have wanted to go to for a very long time. Loved the flora and fauna and the knowledge the guides shared. We had a lovely group of people and visited all the inhabited islands, fitting in with the weather rather than sticking to a rigid plan.

We were really well looked after by a brilliant local team who clearly know how to provide a close up experience whilst ensuring our safety. Camp was comfortable & food terrific - I have dietary needs.

Reliable & thorough. Always happy to answer queries/concerns eg answering calls & arranging hotel accommodation when malfunctioning BA flight caused us to miss connection!

Autumn in Menorca was a wonderful and relaxing break with Naturetrek. Not as many birds as we would have liked but lots of butterflies and insects around.
