From Mount Kinabalu to the valley of Danum we spent mornings, afternoons and nights searching for reptiles and amphibians. Along the way birds and mammals were seen, including a leopard cat at a small, wooded pond filled with chorusing frogs.

This is my second NatureTrek trip and both were fantastic. The office support team is awesome and prompt, tour details seamless, good guides and places to stay, and great experiences.

Trip focussed primarily on herps at several locations in Sabah, Borneo. Sites visited: Mount Kinabalu, Poring Hot Springs, Sepilok, the Kinabatangan River, and the Danum Valley. Although herping was the main goal, we had some lovely mammal sightings as well (orang-utan, leopard cat, civets, slow lorises). Also saw some really nice rafflesia's in bloom.

All the travel details were well organized, and the pre-trip information was clear. Staff were very responsive to our additional questions. The choices of lodging were generally of a very good standard. Food was better than we experienced last time we were in Malaysia.

The main part of the trip was a small boat cruise from Bali to Flores, with three full days spent in the Komodo National Park. Our tour leader was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, as was our expert marine guide on board the boat. We had fantastic encounters with all the target species, including Komodo Dragons, various dolphin species, Whale Sharks, Manta Rays and Bali Starlings. Snorkeling over coral reefs was both beautiful and addictive, with hundreds of tropical fish, plus other creatures. The food on board Mermaid I was delicious throughout and the boat crew were very attentive and friendly. The extension to the West Bali National Park made a fitting end to a great trip.

Naturetrek staff are always helpful and willing to answer any queries about the trip by phone or in person. Our tour guide was excellent and caring, especially when a passenger's injury required a trip to hospital and a rearrangement of our schedule. Full marks to both Naturetrek and the Mermaid I crew for ensuring we missed nothing major from our itinerary.

Fabulous experience, staying in 2 different locations. Early starts with daily game drives or walks. 2 lovely experienced and enthusiastic guides. Lots of wildlife seen and photographed, including lion and cheetah cubs. Friendly group with lots of laughter.

This was a trip of my lifetime. Our group was lead by a gracious, knowledgeable ornithologist who, through NatureTrek, coordinated travels to many different habitats from the Pacific Ocean offshore islands to the cloud forest, ending with a tour of the Sacred Valley and the ancient Inca civilization of Machu Picchu. Lodging was rich and varied where authentic Peruvian dishes were served. Though bird watching was the theme of this adventure, we also learned of the Spanish invasion and the downfall of the Inca empire. I brought back a piece of Peru in my Mind, Body & Spirit.

Humble, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and eager to teach us all aspects of Peruvian history and wildlife. He made sure we were all doing well during our travels.

This was a 10 day birdwatching trip across the south of Morocco, from Marrakech South-east to Ouarzazate, then East to Erfoud, and the desert area, then back across west to Agadir on the coast. We saw lots of wildlife, not just birds, and were expertly guided by Martin and Chris, Naturetrek's tour leaders, ably assisted by their Moroccan team of drivers, who ferried us safely and efficiently everywhere. The trip covered quite a lot of ground involving quite a bit of travelling, but this was clear from the website, and meant we saw a lot of different habitats and places. We stayed at a number of different places as we travelled, all of which were of a good quality, and generally better quality than I'd anticipated. We ate well! The group was good natured and mixed well, and I had a tremendous time. I felt I packed a lot in to 10 days and really came away feeling like I'd seen a lot of - and learned much about, Morocco.

I felt everything was very well organised. The pre-trip info was extremely thorough, and whilst in Morocco I never felt worried about anything - I always felt everything was taken care of. I also think this trip was good value for money, especially considering how much we packed into it.

Fantastic first time with Naturetrek on a guided tour to the Romania Carpathian Mountains and Danube Delta. We saw and learnt so much. The local guide’s knowledge was second to none. It was an amazing experience and would thoroughly recommend.
