Great holiday looking for spring flowers, migrating birds and visiting historic sites. Excellent guides and the luck of perfect weather made visiting multiple sites on the south and north shores of central Crete an informative and interesting trip.

This was a two week holiday to Costa Rica to photograph the wildlife (mostly birds), led by a british photographer as well as a local naturalist/guide. It was a small group so we were able to get individual attention from our photographer leader, and I certainly gained much from the experience. I was very pleased with a good proportion of my photographs!

Naturetrek, as its name implies, specialises in tours with a Natural History content. They are in the UK and have a small friendly team.

The local Naturetrek guides were absolutely brilliant and took fantastic care of us all, really doing their utmost to ensure that everyone saw all the wildlife they were after as well as taking care of our every need in terms of food and accommodation. The two lodges in which we stayed were both in beautiful natural locations - one beside a river with a gorgeous view from the back of the cottage over the water, and the other in the middle of the forest surrounded by trees, including one with a flying squirrel nesting at the top! Service throughout at all locations was superb, as was the catering by the lodges.

Naturetrek sent brilliant detailed pre-tour instructions covering pretty much everything we could want to know, from what to pack, to how much spending money to budget for, as well as step-by-step instructions for checking in, switching terminals at the airport, collecting baggage and meeting the group. During the trip the local guides were so welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive, and the Naturetrek office was also easy to contact and quick to sort out any questions I had during the holiday.

We went on a tiger direct safari. I have never been on a nature holiday before but have always wanted to see tigers in the wild. I was worried it wouldn’t live up to my expectations, but it went above and beyond. Our tour guides were patient and enthusiastic. They made sure we had the best experience.

We travelled with Naturetrek. The service was brilliant. I had to change our booking from 3 persons to 4 and they were very good. I would have no hesitation recommending them.

We went on India Tigers Direct. It was amazing and brilliant from the moment we arrived in Nagpur. Tour guides were excellent. So knowledgeable and still get excited about spotting the animals although they do it everyday! Our accommodation was amazing. Very clean. The staff were lovely and very attentive. I cannot find fault with anything.

Our flights were changed but we were kept well informed throughout. Excellent service.

Very well organised. Accommodation very good. The guides/tour leaders were excellent Stopped for all things not just birds and could answer all questions - very helpful.

We went on Naturetrek’s Baja California and Sea of Cortez holiday, which was an exclusive charter of MV Searcher for whale-watching and other wildlife. The itinerary gave us lots of opportunities to see wildlife both at sea and ashore, and the excellent crew were flexible enough to adjust plans to take account of weather and to optimise wildlife-watching opportunities. Naturetrek always seems to find the best local companies and guides to use. We saw four types of whale including four individual blue whales, countless dolphins, seals and sea lions, and many wonderful birds. Our Naturetrek tour leader was knowledgeable, friendly and worked constantly to make the trip the best it could be. Our flight home to the UK was held up and eventually cancelled because of a fire and the subsequent closure of Heathrow airport; our tour leader and the Naturetrek UK office were magnificent in dealing with this and making new arrangements, so that we ended up with a nice holiday extension and no worries! We’ve travelled with Naturetrek many times and will do so again.

Naturetrek organise wildlife holidays using their own staff and the best local operators. They remember that it’s a holiday as well as a wildlife experience so guiding, food, transport, accommodation are all carefully thought out to make an enjoyable trip. The office staff are excellent.

A well balanced tour covering wildlife and culture in dramatic rugged landscape surroundings and a great adventure with wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable people. It was challenging terrain for wildlife watching, but the enthusiastic and dedicated team of tour guide, co-guide, spotters and drivers enabled us to find and photograph the widest range of species possible.

Naturetrek operate a sustainable tourism business. By running a wide range of specialised holidays both overseas and UK, including day trips covering all client abilities. They always provide excellent personal customer service from the whole team. You can visit the office and discuss your requirements before you book or chat to them over the phone as well as attend a roadshow near you and they are always available to answer queries.

Everything was so pleasant; the two leaders were superb and very knowledgeable,, the entire group were so friendly and the hotel was exceptional, catering as it did to my odd requests of food for someone like me visiting India !

I have travelled with Naturetrek several times and have always found them efficient, helpful , approachable and very friendly: nothing is too much effort for them. I will certainly be using them again.
