Birding for 4 days in each of Donana and Extremadura. 7 people in each of 2 minibuses with an expert birder in each. Each day pretty full on Birding stopping at various sites , at some of which we walked 2 or 3 km. Lots of special birds. Flamingoes, egrets, little owl, bee eaters, kites, vultures, storks on nests every day and many more birds. Good company, food and hotels. Well organised. Our 2 guides and bird experts excellent and made sure as many of us as possible saw each species. They also tried to explain the history of the environments and how action was being taken to conserve and enhance nature. A great holiday.

Naturetrek. Well organised, helpful when booking, good pre departure info. Helped me book a night in Seville and the beginning and one in Madrid at the end so that I could travel direct from Manchester rather than Gatwick. Holiday ran smoothly.

Excellent in every way…knowledgeable guides, excellent rural accommodation, real Spanish cooking and good wine to accompany the meals.

On the Gargano Flowers Naturetrek trip, I felt like I was wild orchid stalking with David Attenborough…well, not quite. But, I thought so because our guide, Andrew Cleave, had the same appearance, distinguished British accent, and exacting knowledge of the natural plant world--to say nothing of his electric blue eyes. Andrew had searched out the most remote and isolated fields and forests that only an ardent and dedicated botanist intent on investigating Gargano’s over 2,000 plant species could have discovered. We were gifted with access to his secret spots in the arid rolling hillside strewn with small boulders and the ancient World Heritage Foresta Umbria. But the trip wasn’t just about wildflowers, not a single butterfly, bird or creature passed without note and identification by Andrew and sharp-witted John Davis, our other leader. A five, no ten gold star adventure.

I've taken 2-3 Naturetrek holidays every year for the past 4 years so they must be good.

Nature holiday , mostly birdwatching, in Panama , primarily in the Darien.. Saw or heard nearly 250 species , including two foreys into the rain forest to view Eagles.. No gripes just too short . Food and accommodation was excellent , the guide very knowledgeable, expert at bird i.d.

Focus of the holiday was birdwatching and there were many different locations for this activity in the area without too much travelling. Accommodation was excellent and particularly attractive for lovers of all sports.
