Guatemala - Birding in the realm of the Maya

We had an amazing guide who had the eyes and ears of a super human. He found us many awesome birds that no one else could see or hear. And throw in the incredible Mayan ruins of Tikal, and it made for a very memorable trip.

Excellent guided holiday seeing a range of wildlife in Andalusia

Throughly enjoyable holiday lead by an extremely good guide. Visiting two very different wildlife areas, beautiful scenery, bountiful birds and the icing on the cake a glimpse of the Iberian Lynx. Good food and comfortable accommodation.

Spain Lynx Watching

My colleague and I had the pleasure to be hosted one week by two Naturetrek guides around the National Park Donana and the nearby mountains. We saw a lot of special endemic birds like Spanish Imperial Eagle, Spanish Sparrow, Iberian Grey Shrike and Iberian Green Woodpecker and much more. Thereby, we always were scanning the landscape thoroughly after the Iberian Lynx. And on the last day, we had the luck to see three of them strolling around...

Brilliant Brazil Atlantic Rainforest

A great birdwatching tour with an excellent leader. Food and lodges were great. Travel between sites and the flexible schedule meant the tour was managed effectively to get the most from every day. Would happily recommend to anyone with an interest in birding overseas.

Yellowstone in Winter - wildlife watching

Fabulous trip, staying in Jackson Hole (2n), West Yellowstone (3n) and Gardiner (4n). Saw moose and elk in Grand Teton NP along with glorious views of the Tetons. Wonderful to see Yellowstone Park covered in snow with bison and elk scratching around for the grass. Coyotes galore including 4 feasting on an old bison kill. Also saw wolves 3 days in a row although they were so far away and only visible through a viewing scope

It was thoroughly enjoyable, meeting all expectations.

Starting with meeting the tour guide at the hotel to ending the trip I couldn't fault the experience. The hotel room was very comfortable and the food very good. The tour guide was well prepared and knowledgeable as well as being friendly. He knew where to find good places to see as many birds as we could and could spot them when we probably wouldn't have.

Although I was fairly late in booking the holiday the tour operator was able to accommodate me and phoned back as promised to confirm my booking. They were polite and helpful. Documentation was sent out promptly. Information on the website was accurate and clear.

A stunning tour of Guatemala: its Neotropical birdlife, landscapes and Mayan temples.

We stayed in some superb accommodation, from city hotels to jungle lodges. We saw over 370 species of birds, including the stunning Resplendent Quetzal, the Pink-headed Warbler, the Azure-rumped Tanager and the Wine-throated Hummingbird. It was an action-packed adventure which delivered sensational surprises from start to finish.

Rating for tour operator:

Naturetrek provided a first class service: its paperwork and phone communication prior to the trip; arranging for us to arrive two days early to enjoy longer in Antigua; arranging an extension at the end to see the Quetzal.

Exceptionally good Wildlife Viewing

Safari to Tanzania with excellent local guide/driver. Good variety of habitats and a diverse range of wildlife from big cats to small birds. All accommodation was very good and the itinerary was well thought out. Highlights were seeing the Great Plains migration of wildebeest and zebras, lots of lions, elephants, hippos and seeing lions and leopards sleeping high up in trees. We saw about 250 species of birds as well.

Very reliable - I have travelled many times and to many places with Naturetrek. They provide well planned itineraries, choose knowledgeable and reliable local guides and select good accommodation. They are also flexible in making travel arrangements in relation to using different airports and to adding on extra days.
