This is my second trip with Naturetrek and I intend to use them again in future. For birdwatchers and naturalists this is an excellent trip.

Romania - The Wildlife of Transylvania
The holiday exceeded my expectations. Transylvania felt like a very special place - gorgeous forests, lush meadows, wonderful wildlife, shepherds with their sheep, farmers still using horse and cart for transport, mobile bee hives, and of course bears! We were very fortunate to see good numbers of bears at the two hides we visited, and even saw a female bear with a cub on the cliff face opposite the hotel. The UK and local guides had excellent ...

We were very fortunate to see good numbers of bears at the two hides we visited, and even saw a female bear with a cub on the cliff face opposite the hotel. The UK and local guides had excellent knowledge of the local wildlife, how it is managed and the culture of Transylvania, and were good company. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming and we were spoilt with Romanian home cooking in the evenings and fantastic picnic lunches.

Naturetrek provided very good service and as always an excellent tour leader. I would recommend them.

Excellent birds and labscapes
The tour took us to a range of upland and lowland sites in central Sweden. The guides were excellent at finding birds and talking about them. The group rubbed along very well. Accommodation was of a high standard and the food was fantastic.

Very well organised by charming people. We were introduced to a large variety of species by knowledgable guides in glorious surroundings.
We were in the Pyrenees, discovering their glories; a wonderfully diverse flora and fauna and magnificent terrain.

Walking in the Picos de Europa
We were very unlucky with the weather, when we went up in a cable car it snowed quite heavily at the top. We were also bird, butterfly and flower watching and these elements of the holiday were very good with knowledgeable and very efficient guides. Unfortunately because of the weather and the unfitness of some of the participants we were not able to walk as far as I would have like. The hotels, especially the first one were very good and ...

Relaxing walks amongst Madeira's floating garden.
From our elevated position above Funchal we enjoyed fine views over the city and bay before the group met for breakfast. Our experienced and thoughtful leaders carefully selected daily walks to identify the endemic plants and birds amongst spectacular mountain and coastal scenery. Why are they here, how do they reproduce? The enthusiastic group had so many questions that were helpfully answered in the field or during tasty picnic lunches...

More birds in and around Fairbanks meant the enjoyment never stopped.

Butterflies/Natural History of the Cevennes National Park
An eight day fully escorted natural history holiday focusing mainly on butterflies but also with emphasis on moths, birds, plants and scenery. Party consisted of 7 members including the guide, staying in a family run hotel in Cocures just outside Florac. With the exception of the travelling days, all days consisted of 9 - 10 hours in the field and included a picnic lunch. As always on this type of holiday, the activities were weather dependant ...

With the exception of the travelling days, all days consisted of 9 - 10 hours in the field and included a picnic lunch. As always on this type of holiday, the activities were weather dependant but the guide had plenty of back-up options to cover the poor weather that we experienced for two days. As usual with this company, all of our expectations were met.

Have travelled with Naturtrek many times over the a number of years. Have always experienced excellent service with them. We have only had one problem them which was immediately resolved to our satisfaction. Naturetrek appear to be going from strength to strength, and appear to be steadily expanding to cope with this.
