As always with Naturetrek, an interesting and informative tour focusing on wildlife

A tour to see the wildlife of the Sierra de Guara, on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees. Focusing on birds but also covering all the wildlife thatt's in the area, in relatively easy day walks. Griffon Vultures and Lammergeiers the highlights.

Rating for tour operator:

Efficient with everything well organised. All the information needed provided promptly and clear. We've travelled with Naturetrek 7x now over the years and only once had a significant problem which was dealt with quickly and without dispute. Naturetrek migh not be the cheapest wildlife tour operator but you get what you apy for - they are the best.

They arranged everything for us and liaised with everyone including booking flights, arranging all hotels, tours and a cabin on the ship. They kept us fully informed with the changes to the itinerary and amended our bookings as required. They provided a comprehensive pre-departure pack and emergency contact numbers in case of any problems. On our return they checked to see how the trip had gone and if we had experienced any problems.

Bulgaria Soundscape & Countryside

Bulgaria is a wonderful country to visit and was helped so much by our local guide Minko. His enthusiasm for wildlife and his country added to the whole experience. The birdlife exceeded expectations and the unspoilt countryside was wonderful. To hear the Orioles and Cuckoos, as well as many other birds, in a valley where one called and the other seemed to respond was excellent.

We've only ever used Naturetrek for our birding holidays and every time they've organised our trip to fit around our requirements. Travel from an airport more local to us, arranging additional nights where required or requested and always in central locations or to make it as easy as possible for an onward journey.

A perfect introduction to the French Countryside

An 8 day stay in a small country hotel which served delicious meals, was my introduction to the beautiful French countryside. Naturetrek has been my go-to tour operator for many years now. This was my 10th trip with them and I have loved every one of them. I really have no negative criticism, they are organized and have a stable of great guides.

They would go the extra mile to make sure everyone was happy - it was a large group (33) so not an easy task.

Good combination of wildlife (especially birds), culture and the eclipse

We went with Naturetrek to Mexico, first priority for us was seeing the eclipse and that experience was excellent. The birdlife was amazing and the opportunity to see ancient pyramid and modern art was very good.

Our first time with Naturetrek and they delivered as promised - slightly larger group than we are used to and higher grade hotels than with Exodus and Explore, but they were not doing the same combination

A really lovely week in Schooners hotel in Hugh town , our room overlooked the harbour , also managed to visit all the other islands on day trips. The weather was mostly kind and the scenery was superb, thank you Nature Trek, and Oliver our naturalist was superb!

First trip like this.

Birdwatching in Portugal. First time doing a trip on my own so nervous about how I would find it, needn’t have worried, everything went really well thanks to the professionalism of the guides and office.
