The Gambia in Style
A wonderful trip organised by NatureTrek - everything went to plan, and was well organised. The resort was excellent as was the Tour Guide, and the guides in Gambia were so knowledgeable. The birdlife is extraordinary and we couldn't have wished for a better experience.

NatureTrek is a firm we have not used before but they were extremely helpful and everything was as it said.

Beyond my Expectations
Our itinerary was so varied and interesting. The hotel was utterly charming, local food, delicious, set in a flower filled valley with views of the sea. Iβd wander before breakfast anlong the dusty lanes , fields of yellow wagtails, paths of purple mallow and chamomile. Iβd wander before breakfast anlong the dusty lanes , fields of yellow wagtails, paths of purple mallow and chamomile. Every day we set off to explore a different part of the island, beautiful mountain roads, stopping along the way, wild herbs everywhere. Our guides went out of their way to point out rare flowers and birds of every kind. We explored waterfalls , wetlands, watched the terrapins swim along the river, saw Black Ibis , Rare Swallowtail butterflies , poppies along the beach, so many different kinds of orchids, wild peonies among olive groves , swam on a deserted pebble beach of exquisite clear turquoise waters, enjoyed late lunches in villages, views through blossom trees of the sea and mountains curving along the distant shore. The trip more than exceeded my expectations. It was wonderful! πππππ

Spring flowers in the Austrian Alps
The holiday consisted of day trips from an excellent hotel led by two naturalists, one focusing mainly on the flowers we could see, the other on the birds. We went to a different location each day and often used local cable cars and chair lifts to get high up the mountains. Another day there was a boat trip. We went to a different location each day and often used local cable cars and chair lifts to get high up the mountains. Another day there was a boat trip. The naturalist leaders identified the flowers we saw and birds we saw and heard and led us to interesting places I would never have found for myself. I am particularly interested in European orchids and had the thrill of seeing meadows purple with marsh orchids and of seeing the Ladyβs Slipper Orchid in glorious flower hidden away deep in the woods. This was a Go Slow holiday which meant distances and days were shorter than on a standard Naturetrek holiday.

St Kilda & the Hebrides - stunning
Amazing to be able to get to St Kilda with the choppy sea & enjoy the remote islands. Loved seeing the puffins so close with sand eels in their beaks to take to the burrows for the newly hatched chicks. Mingulay & Lunga were great for Puffins

Exciting St Kilda and the Hebrides wildlife experience
It was a guided wildlife tour to the Hebrides including a visit to St Kilda. We saw river otter and dolphin, white sea eagle, golden eagle, thousands of gannets, puffin, guillemot, fulmar and other seabirds. The trip included various landings on islands by transfer using a Rib.

Naturetrek area specialised Nature tour operator. The naturalist guide Sara was excellent. The boat was the Hjalmar George - the captain David was very adept at exploiting weather windows to cross the Minch and to St Kilda itself.

An excellent trip, exceeding all of our expectations
The trip followed an excellent itinerary, combining the use of safari trucks, boats and walking to best see the available wildlife and sights. From boats we had close encounters with no less than seven individual Jaguars spotted on river banks, saw multiple individuals and groups of Giant Otters and many species of birds. Well-managed feeding stations allowed close encounters with Ocelots, Black Howler Monkeys and Capuchin Monkeys. We had plenty ...

We had plenty of time allowed to view the Iguazu Falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides and to explore the surrounding forested areas. There were so many amazing moments during the trip that it would be impossible to list them but every day brought new highlights. All accommodation was comfortable with private facilities and good food provided - the Jaguar Suites flotel and SouthWild Pantanal were particularly good in this regard. An excellent tour and highly recommended to all passionate about nature and wildlife.

With wildlife holidays, little can be guaranteed but the itinerary and tour leader provided by Naturetrek allowed us to not only see amazing wildlife and sights but to also spend time getting to know our subjects and capture memorable photographs. Our tour leader was not only a very knowledgeable naturalist but also very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to assist those on the trip in all aspects of the holiday. He was also helpful to photographers, identifying the best angles for shots, given available visibility and lighting.

Well planned and very enjoyable
A wildlife watching break over 4 days, with the benefit of an incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful tour guide. Wildlife shows up when it wants to so nothing is guaranteed but a flexible approach to unpredictable weather made all the difference

Enjoyed every minute!
A visit to the delightful island of Alderney, exploring its wildlife and history, enjoying the scenery, culture, food and drink. The holiday provided everything I expected and more and the accommodation couldn't have been better.

A comprehensive look at wildlife on Alderney
There was a great variety of wildlife to view from insects and plant life to seabirds and mammals. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. The accommodation was superb and the guides organised meals to suit everyone.

Go slow on Sark
What a superb week I spent with Naturetrek on this beautiful island. It helped of course that the weather was excellent, but the leader had planned every detail of the holiday to ensure all the group got the most from the experience. The accommodation and food were wonderful too. I can o recommend Naturetrek as coming up trumps yet again.
