Birdwatching in Roumania, the Carpathian Mountains and the Danube Delta. But also covered insects, butterflies, flowers and animals.

Naturetrek were excellent in arranging the holiday and their local representatives were excellent in their care, support, enthusiasm and knowledge. The local Ibis Tours that worked with Naturetrek were excellent as well.

We had a great guide and crew looking after the campsites. The food was cooked fresh every day on open fire. The wildlife was fantastic in that we saw leopards everyday as well as 3 packs of African wild dogs, lions, hyenas Honey badgers and then lots of Elephants, hippos giraffes and lots of different species of antelope and a wide range of birds

Naturetrek and the local operator was Letaka Safaris. I would use both again and i have been with Naturetrek before.

Efficient and helpful

When looking for wildlife, nothing beats the aid of a local expert who can make sure you are in the right place at the right time, and with the two guides provided on this Naturetrek holiday to watch birds migrating over the Straits of Gibraltar, we were blessed with really enthusiastic and knowledgeable experts.

I have been on several trips with Naturetrek. The information and help provided by the office staff before the holiday and the guidance provided by the experts during the trip have always been excellent.

We had very comfortable accommodation in Carmel that was our base as we went out nearly every day whale watching. On our first morning we came across a magnificent blue whale, it was going to be hard to beat that but with huge pods of dolphins, humbacks breaching and sea otters our hopes were more than satisfied.

Naturetrek organised the trip very well and the two guides we had with us were extremly knowledgeable about the mammals and birds.

Naturetrek specialised in wildlife tours, and in my experience they run a very professional service, everything was very well planned and went very smoothly.

Our trip with Naturetrek was for us all about seeing Whales and Bears , ok wildlife can be a bit shy , but not on our trip with lots of opportunities we saw more than we could have dreamed of. Humpbacks , Orca, Grey Whales , Dolphins the list goes on. and the finale were the Bears at the Great Bear Lodge . The trip was full on from day one hardly time to breath, problems ,even out of their control were dealt with. I would not hesitate to travel with them again.

Naturetrek were a great team , They made our holiday one to remember for the right reasons. every effort was made to show us the wildlife which was the purpose of our holiday, our accommodation was always good and the food excellent.
