Super starlings in Somerset.

This was the 1st dedicated birding holiday I have ever done though I've been on many animal wildlife ones with lots of birds included. I was rather worried that all the guests would be experts but there was a mixture of knowledge and experience. The group were very friendly and the 2 leaders were excellent with a wide knowledge and enthusiasm for birds and the environment

This is the 5th time I have travelled with Naturetrek, the other 4 were in Sri Lanka, Borneo, India and the Pantanal in Brazil. I had spent years avoiding them because on my 1st wildlife trip, a very seasoned traveller told me she had had a bad experience with them. Over the years I then spoke to lots of people who had travelled with them with great success, So I eventually tried them and they are very good.

Naturetrek Somerset Levels

Short break for bird watching, especially hoping to see starling murmurations on Somerset Levels. In spite of rather inclement weather our two tour guides were able to show us a range of habitats and some amazing spectacles of bird behavior.

Rare mammals and birds of Gujarat

A tour in Gujarat to see wildlife including asiatic lions, wild ass and Indian Bustard. We had a very experienced guide for this tour and saw a great variety of mammals, birds and some reptiles and amphibians. We stayed in very good lodges and hotels and enjoyed the company of the other traveller on this tour as well as the guide.

Naturetrek’s ‘Tigers Direct’ tour.

A fantastic short break to India and two national parks in search of tigers and other wildlife. My first trip with NatureTrek and I was hugely impressed with the service and organisation.

NatureTrek were recommended to me by a friend and they were fantastic. The guides were brilliant - knowledgable, helpful, friendly, enthusiastic. The accommodation was excellent and overall I couldn’t have hoped for more from a tour operator.

Chasing Tigers

A trip to Bandavgarh Reserve with eight days pursuing wildlife. Well led - brilliant naturalists and local staff. Frequent encounters with tigers and three with sloth bears(in one day!). Good accommodation.

From the moment we met our two tour guides at Delhi airport we knew we would have a wonderful experience in India. Amith and Anand are such knowledgeable guides and extremely helpful with nothing being too much trouble for them. Our week with thirteen half day safaris in to various areas of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve was wonderful with amazing sightings of Tigers. We were so we'll looked after at the Bandhavgarh Villas, again nothing was to much trouble, you only to ask! At the end of our week we took the overnight sleeper train again to Agra where we were treated to a wondrous day visiting the Taj Mahal, the baby Taj and driving along the perimeter of the enormous Red Fort. We've all seen the Taj Mahal on television, in photographs and books, but nothing prepares you for the splendour that is the Taj Mahal, truly magical and what a way to end of Indian Adventure!

Rating for tour operator:

Everything was so well organised and we were kept well informed throughout after booking our trip, any questions always satisfactorily answered and nothing was to much trouble.

Very good choice of locations for varied lemur viewing

We wanted to see a wide variety of lemurs in Madagascar. The choice of locations, and guides, was excellent for the less mobile in a country noted for difficult terrain and we were not disappointed.d
