A full day with excellent guides enjoying viewing and identifying birds along with the local fauna and flora. The two habitats nicely divided the day, walking was as expected, giving plenty of time to absorb the surroundings and making the most of the sightings.

Naturetrek have put together a comprehensive programme to enable wildlife lovers to make the most of the restrictions of the pandemic, and wherever you live there is somewhere within reach to go out and explore with experts in their field.

Informative, communicative , knowledgeable. At times conversations a little one sided and anecdotal. Didn't always check whether what was communicated was understood and less often invited questions.

Having had to cancel a trip abroad due to the latest UK COVID rule changes, I booked a day out in the Hampshire countryside with NatureTrek. I came across them through their fantastic live, online bird-watching sessions in Panama and Ecuador. I thoroughly enjoyed my day trip. I'm not so much into birds but we saw some fantastic orchids, were given plenty of information about the history/geology of the area and a lovely walk (around 8 miles). Pleasant company. Well worth it.

Organisation was seamless after last-minute booking.

A short (full day) visit to Winterton-on-Sea and Hickling Broad with birds, botany and Swallowtail Butterfly as the targets.

Day trip to see stone curlews

Excellent as always

I thoroughly enjoyed this day trip. the leader, Martin Pitt, is extremely knowledgeable about the area and was brilliant at taking us straight to the right place to see something of particular interest. He was also very good at telling us all about it. My only criticism would be that he was almost too keen. I would have liked to have a break in the morning of 20-30 mins just to take in all the information and to appreciate what we had seen. By the time we had lunch I was feeling quite tired.

He was excellent - very knowledgeable and good at informing us about what we were seeing. My only criticism is that he didn't arrange for us to have a mid-morning break which I would have liked.

It was a morning visit to a farm to see how they have been rewilding and to see nesting Stone Curlew and other birds, butterflies and plants. We were successful in being shown a curlew on the nest and the partner guarding the nest Good views.

Naturetrek

A Naturetrek one day guided birdwatching trip in the Upper Tees Valley starting at Langford Beck. We walked through lovely wild flower meadows, along streams and out onto more open moors. In the afternoon we visited the Cow Reservoir and Cauldron Spout. Many great birds, butterflies and wild flowers were spotted during the day.

First class nature based tour operator. THese one day trips are a godsend with very limited overseas travel allowed currently.

Day tour to North Yorkshire. Fabulous locations and despite the patience and expertise of the tour leader we weren’t able to see our target species bug so enjoyed all the other sightings and experiences
