This was our first holiday with Naturetrek, "The Best of the Cotswolds", and our excellent leaders took us to a range of sites to see flowers, orchids and the few birds that were about. Duncan and Tom were excellent naturalists though new to guiding. They had clearly done their homework to find accessible sites. The hotel was good as were the lunch stops. We would certainly travel with Naturetrek again

We had booked a number of trips/holidays with Naturetrek that had to cancelled because of Covid restrictions. As soon as it was confirmed that it couldn't go ahead we were offered an immediate refund or rebooking. Refunds were given within 48hours. The plans for the holiday were clear, queries answered quickly and arrangements went smoothly

The Suffolk Valley Fens day trip was a superb day out. The trip leader, Su Gough, had an encyclopedic knowledge of the flora and fauna and she made sure we saw as much as possible in the day, including some very rare orchids.

A great company and highly recommended. In my experience ALL their leaders are at the top of their game, being extremely knowledgeable and knowing the exact locations to find the flora/fauna. The backroom staff are also a pleasure to deal with and are always very helpful.

This day exploring the Peak District was amazing as indeed all the ones I have participated in have been. To get close views of Ring Ouzel and other moorland birds in the company of such an expert leader was a privilege .

Naturetrek's positive response to the pandemic by setting up these days needs to be applauded. They have been flexible, honest and trustworthy throughout this difficult time. I highly recommend them.

A very enjoyable day trip to Blacktoft Sands with plenty to see if a reluctant Bittern didn't show but the drive down to Welbeck certainly was with a Honey buzzard flying over our head at tree height giving us excellent views .

This was a short break looking primarily for birds in the Forest of Dean. The weather was mainly dry though overcast and although the Forest was fairly quiet we saw the key species with superb views of a Redstart family, Wood Warbler singing and flitting about and both Pied and Spotted Flycatchers. Evening visits produced Woodcock, beautiful Tawny Owl and on the second evening Nightjar. On Sunday we visited Symonds Yat and had good views of the Peregrine Falcon family amongst others. An area of gorse produced Tree Pipit, Stonechat and Willow Warblers. .

I had originally been booked to go to the Camargue in May 2020 which scuppered by Covid. I transferred my deposit to May 2021 but when that became doubtful transferred again to two short breaks in England. This was the first. The staff at Naturetrek have been excellent rearranging things and laying on many more short and one-day outings in the UK.

The day trip to the New Forest and Keyhaven Marshes exceeded my expectations. My guide, Byron Palacios, ensured a maximum number of sightings of our target birds based on a thorough knowledge of the two locations , excellent birding skills and plenty of patience! He located a lifer - Woodlark- in the form of a singing pair showing well and taught me key identification tips for a number of species.
